Hey everyone,
I wonder if this might be on the cards at some point: an ongoing thread between all the Doctor Who ranges? Similar to the Emmience or Stoyn stories, but slightly greater in scale and released over a long period of time, a slowburn tale. Starting in an adventure with the First Doctor, carrying across The Doctor's lives, each tale (in Big Finish fashion) relativily self-contained, but part of a bigger tapestry.
I don't know, I think it'd be intresting.

I don't know, I think it'd be interesting. The Destiny of the Doctor series did something similar to this, though it was designed to be released one story per month over eleven months (and can now be bought in a series collection box set). I imagine you're maybe thinking something more along the lines of Dark Eyes or Doom Coalition - one long running story, not released in box sets, but spread over different Doctors with a slightly more spaced out release schedule? Something maybe like the Forge - cropping up very occasionally, but always leading towards something big at the end?

Not neccessairly occasionally, but defiantly at play at a somewhat regular basis

I'd like to hear something like that. Would be an interesting experiment. And could be something that if you missed one you wouldn't have to worry too much?

It's a terrific idea, possibly horribly complicated to implement though!
Personally, I rather like it when we encounter story elements or characters out of order - like the Eminence, where their debut with the Fourth Doctor rolled out well after their involvement in Dark Eyes (although it was written before I believe). Or how we met Mrs Constance Clarke up and running as a companion in 'The Last Adventure' box set before she debuted in the Main Range.

I don't know, I think it'd be intresting. I did wonder if they might consider something like this as a celebration in Big Finishes anniversary year. A year long celebration that would pull multiple ranges together. If they did I would hope they would offer some form of bundle offer to those who do not follow any particular range, although thinking about that the logistics would be problematic especially with all the proliferation of boxsets. As well as a celebration it could act as taster to those ranges.

Could be cool to see a story stretch across all the ranges, one a month.
Like an EA, a CC, a couple of MRs (one a four-parter, one something else), a 3DA, a 4DA, a new series Short Trip, a Benny box (with Warner?), a Jago and Litefoot story, a River Song story, a Doctor Chronicles story and an Eighth Doctor (or later???) boxset to cap it all off.
The stories could be stand-alone like the Eminence ones but work together beautifully.

Sounds interesting. I have never noticed that before.

Sort of like Burning Prince through Shadow Heart, but much bigger, eh?

Kind of like a big comic book crossover. Have a 6 part "main series" and the individual ranges feed in and out of the event.

I don't know if I'd like it to be a regular thing, but I wouldn't mind to see a multi-range crossover story every once in a while...
