Hmm, so what would be an incredible top secret announcement that needs to be coordinated with the BBC? A few possibilities: - A license renewal up to the 12th Doctor era. - Matt Smith is returning for The Eleventh Doctor Adventures. - Option one combined with Peter Capaldi wishing to play The Doctor on audio straight after the Christmas Special. And the anniversary connection would be? - Peter Capaldi was filming Series 8 on 19th June 2014. - Previously mentioned geronimo - See first point.

50th anniversary of the Cybermen would seem the obvious answer. If it was. Which it isn't. Gah, I knew there was something wrong while I was typing it. Turns out it's 50 years since they were shown in Australia. So, my bet is it's either Jacobi/Simm or Tegan vs the Cybermen.

It's the 10th Anniversary of Utopia. Also 20 years of Big Finish

The more realistic option would probably be a Darek Jacobi and/or John Simm announcement with the Utopia anniversary. Still, that Geronimo reference is certainly tantalizing, isn't it?

I'm (still) hoping for a Matt Smith/Eleventh announcement, but won't be too disappointed if it's a Simm Master set... Saxon Chronicles anyone?
Cheers
Tony

Cheers Tony I'd quite like a special two disc Classic Companions, New Masters release. How would Jo Grant/Jones fare against the Yana Master? And what about Ace against the Saxon Master?

Regards mark687 That sounds either Multi-Doctor or Multi-Master to me. It could also be a hint at John Simm given he would be coming from our past (Utopia/The Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords, The End of Time) and our future (World Enough And Time/The Doctor Falls).

Hmmm. Could be something to do with the Simm Master, given that he is a past Master but he's coming up in the future in the S10 finale...

I mean I'm all for classic companions meeting New Masters but I don't think a box set of this premise would work. I could be wrong but I think with the whole point of the Master being the same man in every incarnation, albeit with slightly different personality traits, although not as extensive as the Doctor, I wouldn't see that working nothing would be different really would it?
