As we are getting close to the end of the year, I am making an assumption that BF will produce this years run of short trips on cd.
Do you think that is a fairly safe assumption?

I was wondering that myself. Picked up the first four CD sets when they were on sale a little while back. Would gladly buy a fifth.

It's been stated quite a few times on Vortex these are not coming to CD. The previous ones didn't justify the range continuing on hard copy. It would also need to be quite a size - six discs - as these are much, much longer than the previous Short Trips where 8 fit on 2 CDs.

Ah, I see. I missed the details in Vortex so thank you for the info David. Shame, as the collector in me prefers physical releases.

That's my problem as well, as even the download only stories I have burned on cd, and printed the covers for the cd's to put on the shelf after I listen to them, on the cd. I call myself a collector, my wife calls me a hoarder.
Have a good day. U.S.A.

As do I but if the downloads stay at a reasonable price - as these short trips are doing - then I'm much more inclined to keep going with them. From what I remember - someone else may recall the Vortex issue - Nick really expressed regret about not being able to put them on CD but it just wouldn't be profitable enough to justify it.

I love the Short Trips releases; not being on a CD doesn't bother me as I tend to do downloads these days, but they are a well written and well produced range, and they are well worth the money. So even if people prefer physical releases they really should try this range on download, as every monthly story has been very enjoyable. I hope it's profitable enough for Big Finish to continue with this range.
