Over the last few days I've just listened to these for the first time in several years.
Aren't they such a delight?
Eight is so upbeat and wide-eyed joyous, Mary settles in as a fully-realized character effortlessly, and the three (and a half) stories are just so concisely and tightly told, just no wasted time at all.
I find myself wishing for more Eight/Mary--but then I worry that it could marr this perfect little segment of Eight's history.

I too re-listened to their trilogy only about a month ago. They were a great pairing and I still hope that we haven't heard the last of them. Nick on the podcast spoke fondly about Julie Cox in the studio.
Personally I was hoping for boxsets celebrating the Eighth Doctor's Past Times being released between his Time War adventures, but Big Finish have confirmed that they will run two on going series with him concurrently which leaves little if any room for stories with past companions.
Perhaps come his 25th Anniversary with Big Finish.

I definitely want more Mary/8 stories, the Doctor is so upbeat, innocent and joyful in these stories (and the stories themselves are just straight forward romps with no complicated arcs), it's the closet in tone to the TV Movie characterization we've got at BF and I really miss the younger, more carefree 8th Doctor, Mary and he were said to travel together for years and 3 and 1/4 stories doesn't seem enough. My only concern is Nick Briggs has ruled out the 8th Doctor returning to the Mothly Range and it would feel somewhat odd/annoying to have Mary return in say a 4x1 hour boxset rather than the 4x25 minute format.

They could go the route of 'The Third Doctor Adventures' and have two four-parters in the 4xCD boxset. It's a good compromise between tradition (and the story format I still like best) and the commercial advantages of boxsets. I think it's hard to top the old four-parter structure - I really enjoyed 'The Eightfold Truth' plus 'Worldwide Web' and was encouraged to hear them because I knew they made one longer story.

Nick Briggs has ruled out the 8th Doctor returning to the Mothly Range Please don't tell me this is something he has said/set in stone. I'm not too fond on the whole epic box set series that Paul has been locked to.

Nick Briggs has ruled out the 8th Doctor returning to the Mothly Range Please don't tell me this is something he has said/set in stone. I'm not too fond on the whole epic box set series that Paul has been locked to. I'm pretty sure Briggs confirmed the 8th Doctor won't be returning to the monthly range in the podcast a few months back, whether than is for scheduling or marketing reasons is unclear...though I'm inclined to think it's the latter, McGann is essentially BF's main ongoing Doctor always pushing forward, the 8th Doctor is a bridge between Classic/New and the boxset format might appeal more to a wider audience than a MR trilogy would. Part of that may be McGann's own wishes as well to keep the character/writing fresh. I've enjoyed both Dark Eyes and Doom Coalition very much, and like the boxset format (admittedly as much for financial reasons as storytelling) but I do agree the 1x4x4 miniseries arcs have started to become a little stale, hoping for something a little different next, with less of a focus on arcs and more stand alone stories...
