Apologies everyone if the rules were not clear and to anyone who got spoiled about the surprise who did not want to be. We will make sure to make it clearer what is allowed in speculation threads in the future.

It is quite exciting to think we now have a range of 10th Doctor Adventures. How much BF has changed in the past year - for better and worse!
David's obviously a massively in-demand actor. After a couple of false starts Stateside it seems Jessica Jones will get him back on the ladder for meatier US roles too so the range may not be as frequent as Tom or Paul's but it's certainly welcome to have it in the schedule. It's almost a blessing he's a busy man as another monthly ongoing would be stretching funds for a lot of already nearly milked-dry fans.

Well we all speculated that this was coming so cool. Cant wait to hear what stories we get. And such a great pairing too Might be worthwhile posting the synopsis of each in case anyone missed them. 1.1 Technophobia by Matt Fitton When the Doctor and Donna visit London’s Technology Museum for a glimpse into the future, things don’t go to plan. The most brilliant IT brain in the country can’t use her computer. More worrying, the exhibits are attacking the visitors, while outside, people seem to be losing control of the technology that runs their lives. Is it all down to simple human stupidity, or is something more sinister going on? Beneath the streets, the Koggnossenti are waiting. For all of London to fall prey to technophobia... 1.2 Time Reaver by Jenny T Colgan Calibris. The spaceport planet where anything goes. Where anyone who doesn't want to be found can be lost, and where everything has its price. Where betentacled gangster Gully holds sway at the smugglers’ tavern, Vagabond’s Reach. The alien Vacintians are trying to impose some order on the chaos. Soon the Doctor and Donna discover why. An illegal weapon is loose on the streets. A weapon that destroys lives… Slowly and agonisingly. The Time Reaver. 1.3 Death and the Queen by James Goss Donna Noble has never been lucky in love. So when, one day, her Prince does come, she is thrilled to have the wedding of all weddings to look forward to. Though the Doctor isn’t holding his breath for an invitation. And her future mother-in-law is certainly not amused. But on the big day itself, Donna finds her castle under siege from the darkest of forces, marching at the head of a skeleton army. When it looks like even the Doctor can’t save the day, what will Queen Donna do to save her people from Death itself? David Tennant (The Doctor), Catherine Tate (Donna Noble) Technophobia Niky Wardley (Bex), Rachael Stirling (Jill Meadows), Chook Sibtain (Brian), Rory Keenan (Kevin), Jot Stevens (Lukas) Time Reaver Alex Lowe (Soren), Sabrina Bartlett (Cora), Terry Molloy (Rone), John Banks (Gully), Dan Starkey (Dorn) Death and the Queen Blake Ritson (Rudolph), Alice Krige (Queen Mum), Beth Chalmers (Hortense), Alan Cox (Death) Other roles played by the cast

I missed this part on first-read.
"All three stories are also available in the Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor Adventures Volume 1 – Limited Edition set. Limited to just 5,000 copies and available exclusively from bigfinish.com, and the lavish book-sized box set includes exclusive artwork, photography, articles and a one-hour documentary featuring interviews with the stars and production team."
If that's the case, it makes reducing the print run of the book from 10,000 to 5,000 seem much more understandable. I'd also think if there's plenty of Tennant and Tate on the extras disc that should be hyped more as an incentive to go for the deluxe just as the RTD content on Damaged Goods was.

Nice one Dave. I think im gonna pre-order the Book set. makes sense for me Me too. The difference between this and the standalones is so negligible. £5 more for the book format and a bonus disc isn't a bad deal at all and if anyone disagrees..well, there's the standalone releases for them. This announcement caters for both. I only wish I could say the same for The Prisoner!

I actually found that in my CND$ it was cheaper to order the book set instead of the bundle!

Lol...I don't even care about the extras on the 'limited edition', but it's cheaper to do that than to buy the releases separately.

Fantastic news but I've got to question the stupid decision to make the Limited Edition set only 5000 copies. There's going to be a lot of disappointed people considering how many fans David Tennant has. If all the Tennant fangirls buy a copy, then it's going to sell out quick. 10,000 would have made much more sense.

Except a limited edition, that has so many editions that everyone who wants one gets one, isn't a limited edition at all, it's just something given that label.

Yeah but if you're a fan of the 10th Doctor and/or David Tennant, you're going to want to go for the more expensive, more lavish option. Thankfully I managed to pre-order my copy before all the Tennant fangirls get in but 5000 is never going to be enough for everyone who wants the LE version.

Well, they're obviously not going to make such a lucrative story a limited set when they could flog this for years and years. The book and the bonus disc are the limited edition content. Not the story.

It is clear to me that some of the posts here contained spoilers, indeed at least one spoiler poster agreed and used spoiler tags, it is also clear that others thought so too, to the extent that the issue was raised by them in posts.
Sure this maybe a border line case, but best to err on the side of caution.
The rule itself is clear, although clearly, myself included, many of us didn't apply it, but the rule is clear.
I would strongly disagree. Like many of us here, I fail to see how the spoiler rules apply to announcements or speculation about announcements.

Some people don't want to know what announcements are when they leak out and prefer to turn a blind eye to it and personally I agree with the mods: I think we should respect that. That's why I put the picture in spoiler tags.

That's why I put the picture in spoiler tags. I'll disagree with you as well then. If discussing or speculating about product or range announcements become spoilers, then we've entered into a whole different meaning of what spoilers are supposed to cover and makes the term hugely broad. Anything story related, or surprise guest star or character apperances? I am with you all 100% Putting spoiler tags on a product announcement that will be all over Doctor Who related media? Not so much. Talking about upcoming announcements does nothing to ruin anyone's enjoyment of the story. It is simply discussing that the story is on the way.

It wasn't the speculation that was the spoiler, the graphic from BF's website was indeed speculation in the context of this announcement (although as close to a confirmation as you could get, without it being actual confirmation) but in of itself was clearly a spoiler, it on its own revealed details of a future event that were not yet meant to be in the public domain, and some people, as evidences by what's been posted in this thread felt the surprise was spoiled. Facts posted ahead of their official reveal are spoilers.
It should be noted the spoiler rules doesn't stop you from posting spoilers, no free speech is infringed, and no information is withheld, just use spoiler tags, not a big deal.

Has any of the previous limited Edition releases sold out? Only 1 I can think of is the vinyl light at the end. I don't see the fuss about complaining about something being limited when you have purchased. You should be happy about being one of the lucky ones to get 1 of the 5000. It's not as if the story will no longer available if it sells out. The normal versions will still be available. It's only the packaging that will be limited as the digital download version will still be available to buy(even when the cd version sells out) which will include the bonus documentary
