Thanks to all those who have been a huge supporter of me over the 4 year's I've been on this & this & the previous BF forums, you guy's & girls are great & i met some truly amazing people on here who i will continue to keep in touch with.
I'm going on hiatus from this forum & DWO & taking a long break from Doctor Who altogether (yes even Big Finish) until i decide if i still want to continue being part of the Doctor Who Universe, i can't trust my judgment at the moment because I'm emotional & confused unable to give a clear judgement & because of my constant daily battles with bipolar I'd rather take a break from the show than destroy my entire collection of memorbella which i came very very close to doing yesterday, so by distancing myself from Doctor Who it might restore my love & enthusiasm for the show or it won't, but i simply cannot support the new direction the show is currently taking & wouldn't be able to give a open minded discussion because I'm opposed to a female Doctor & that won't change, I'm a analogue signal in a digital age & don't belong in these modern times.
I'm not a hypocrite i didn't want a female Doctor & before I'm accused of sexism, Chibnall has stated he only ever wanted a woman as the Thirteenth Doctor which is sexist.
I am literally heartbroken at the moment, i feel betrayed, angry & hurt, Doctor Who has helped me get through some very difficult times in my life & I'm genuinely worried that now it isn't going to feature as much if at all what will happen when I'm in one of my dark moods cause i honestly don't know if i can continue being a fan.
Anyway I'm on Google + were i post reviews & other content & I'll continue to private message people on here.
I leave now with a heavy heart but we'll always have Paris.
Take care everyone, splendid chaps all of you.

Very sad to see you go Timelord007, your posts and reviews have been an invaluable presence on this forum and I think we will all miss your participation enormously, but I understand, stepping back from the fandom and clearing your head is probably a good move and if this is your last post on this forum, all the best for the future, but I hope we will see you back some day, and don't forget you have 54 remarkable years of a show to cherish and enjoy (a 54 years which is still being explored through comics, novels and audios, frankly we are spoiled when it comes to Who content) I wouldn't want to speak for you, but try not to let this decision tarnish your previous love of the franchise, and don't let peoples opposing opinions on this casting get to you, everyone has their own opinions but no one is necessarily more right than anyone else but this is a huge, huge change and Chibnall/BBC would be foolish to think everyone will accept it straight away or indeed ever.

Don't worry Timelord007, I know exactly where you're coming from. I can't pretend to know how tough the stuff life has thrown at you has been, but I know what it's like to be between a rock and a hard place and not knowing where to go. People say Doctor Who is a show all about change; while this is true, it's not the way everybody sees it - not the way that I see it. For me, it's the escapism, the ability to go any where and any when that I choose knowing that, at the end of the day, everything would turn out well. Doctor Who, for me, has always been something I could fall back on - if ever things were getting too much and I just needed to get away from it all, it was always there, and I knew it was always 'safe' (as it were). Without this show, I don't know where I would be, but I know that it probably wouldn't be pleasant. While I can't claim to know what the program means to you, I know that I too feel the reasons I watch have been disregarded somewhat, as though everything that I need from the show is being left behind and ignored. I can understand that you want to distance yourself from the show, and I wish you the best of luck! Personally, even if I wanted to, I doubt I could ever leave it; like I said, it's my fallback, and I don't have anything else if I lose it. From where I'm standing, you're making an incredibly brave and mature choice, and I salute you! I hope to one day have you standing by my side once again, taking the rough with the smooth. Until such time as your ready though, take a break, come to accept or ignore this period of the show. I'm not sure I'm necessarily ever going to be able to enjoy it (though I intend to give it the best chance that I can!), but I do hope that, in the fullness of time, I can come to accept it. I look forward to the day you're ready to join us once more

Sad to see you leave Timelord007, I still appreciate the helpful story recommendations you made on Amazon, when I was a BF newbie trying to find my way through their huge (and rather daunting) back catalogue. The Whoniverse is much bigger and older than any one Doctor and nobody needs to feel obliged to like all of it. Maybe give it time and then reimmerse yourself in the eras you love and enjoy the best; the Doctors will be waiting.

You do what you need to for your health and sanity. That's far more important than a show.
We're always here though if you want to come back for a vent or something.

Hello again.
Oh Timelord007, "an analogue signal in a digital world", I felt very sad reading your post. As a fellow bipolar survivor, I know some of your struggle to stay on a even keel.
I understand your views and the reasons for your decision. It is a huge change for our beloved show. A change that some fans cannot countenance. Do take solace in 54 years of wonderful storytelling in TV, audio, book, comic and just about any form of media available. There are few titles that can match Dr. Who for the richness of its universe.
I personally, will always watch Who. It is still the most flexible and varied story-telling format and always be my programme.
I hope its au revoir and not goodbye Timelord007. Your posts always made interesting and sometimes hilarious reading and I hope that 'one day, you will come back..."
