I've been wanting to do a J&L re-listen for a while. I guess I'm doing it now. Starting with a watch of Talons and then I'll move on. Here's to Trevor Baxter! That's a lovely thought. 'The Talons of Weng-Chiang' is my all-time favourite and has been since 1977, I did my latest rewatch for the 40th anniversary this year and it still comes out as fresh and exciting even now. I don't have anywhere near all the box sets yet so I'm planning to add to more to my collection now, it seems the perfect time. I happened to mention the news to Mum (who likes Anthony Trollope's novels and classic BBC costume dramas) and she reminded me that Trevor Baxter was in her favourite star-studded BBC adaptation of 'Barchester Towers' in the early 80s, playing (Rev.) Doctor Gwynne of Oxford - a learned academic clergyman who is one of the power-brokers as the clergy of Barchester compete to see who will be the new Dean. So we got the DVD out and indeed there he was; it's a smaller role but he gives his character all the required authority and wisdom - and that's in a production with Alan Rickman, Geraldine McEwan, Nigel Hawthorne and Donald Pleasance among others.

It occurred to me that I could listen to a one hour J&L story (one CD of a boxset or an individual release) every week, and it would take over a year to complete! Mr Baxter really did leave Doctor Who fans a legacy by which to remember him and celebrate his talent.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Trevor Baxter.
That sadness is purely selfish, because I never knew the man only the joy that he gave to me as Professor George Litefoot.
Before I saw the article on the Big Finish website I had already commenced a re-listen to the last three boxsets in the run up to what I had hoped would be the announcement of the next Jago & Litefoot release.
Alas that is not to be and it is fitting for a great actor to "leave them still wanting more"

I've realised that I never actually finished Series 13 - I've only listened to the first episode so far. I still need to listen to the two adventures that J&L had with Sixie. It's going to be bittersweet to listen to those.

My thoughts are with his family and friends. Just so sad. Not that I ever did not treasure this, but if it's possible I'll treasure this more. Attachment Deleted"Corks! What a magnificent artist!" - Christopher Benjamin "Indubitably."- Trevor Baxter Double-Act Autograph! I was a nervous wreck around Big Finish Day, worrying if they'd like this bit of fan art. I made some prints for them to keep, as well as one for myself for the them all to sign. I felt so tongue tied when I was talking to them, but I made sure I thanked them, and said they were great. Not terribly eloquent, but I won't forget how happy Trevor looked when I said it.

Thank you.
Their character designs were a pet project at the time. Did turnarounds and everything.
I thought how great it could be if someone like 80s era Don Bluth or Mike Mignola could have done an animated film of them.
When I've stopped being a blubbering mess I'm really tempted to dust them off and do some 'best of' scenes from the stories.

I think so- was hanging round Bafflegabs room and chatting with Simon Barnard- bless him for putting up with me most of the day. I had a copy of Horror of Loch Ness that got signed, and bought a copy of Vince Cosmos.

That's very sweet. I know buying the box sets are a large investment for a lot of people, but they're so worth it.

Plus David Hyde Pierce's Emperor Zombie would have made a great Villain for the gents to face too. youtu.be/3q-BtUye51s
