Hello again I made a very enjoyable discovery via YouTube which led me to discover three very distinct albums from Australia’s finest Men at Work. Business as Usual, Cargo and Two Hearts. Some really catchy songs, great saxophone work and some interesting lyrics including some dealing with the effects of mental health particularly Overkill and Who can it be now? m.youtube.com/watch?v=RY7S6EgSlCI

I've been listening to a whole slew of stuff lately, mainly multiple albums by Bowie, Queen, King Crimson and Joe Walsh. If that isn't eclectic enough, I think the most eclectic selections have been two albums worth of Scott Joplin rags (played too fast?) and the hippie comedy album by Abbie Hoffman, Wake Up America.
I also seem to be playing the heck out of Chris Squire's extraordinary album, Fish Out of Water.

Digging into more golden oldies lately like Uriah Heep Demons & Wizards, Argent Argent and All Together Now, Scorpions Virgin Killer (Uli Jon Roth was the most bad*ss guitarist they ever had), and Queen News of the World.

Levon Helm - Electric Dirt
I'm guilty of neglecting this in favour of it's excellent predecessor Dirt Farmer, but this is fantastic too. Great covers of The Grateful Dead (Tennessee Jed) and Randy Newman (Kingfish).

Diesel Park West: Shakespeare Alabama (January 1989)
Revisited 'When Princes Do' on Youtube last week and have had 'earworm' of the whole album all week, so am now having an 'actual' re-listen to more tracks....
A testament to how much I liked it over 30 years ago that it was still all still there in the 'inner ear'. I saw the vid for 'When Princes Do' on a late night telly show at the time and sought them out on the strength of that - would never have known them otherwise.
Pleased that I bought 'Like Princes Do' on 7" and the album (and lesser follow up 'Decency') as Vinyl back in the day after playing the tape version to death. Both still as new. A band that was just a few years early perhaps? They really caught my taste at the time but never made it.....
