I would love a revamp for special release CDs with updated extras much like the dvd extras with interviews 20 years on between the writers and the cast

As much as I like the newer covers, I also don't think it would be worth going back to change the old ones. They are what they are. Some are better than others. My first Big Finish was Storm Warning, and I'm willing to bet that was the case for a lot of other people. That the cover didn't match what was then current (the sidebar format) didn't bother me at all. Especially not for a $2.99 download.
As a special edition that others have suggested, I wouldn't mind so much. The vinyls have had new art, after all. I'm just uncertain if it's worth the trouble and the cost when there's not a new product to go with it.
On that note, I would be interested in some retrospective extras on the earlier stories. Provided, of course, they are unvarnished and not mutual backpatting and tales of the legendary lunches. I'm not looking for mudslinging, I'd happily listen to a sitdown with Rob Shearman about his work. But I can't deny I'd also be interested in something about the Zagreus controversy or what the heck happened with Nekromantiea.

I'm not sure. It's possible. The idea came from an unusual occurrence I remember with The Nightmare Fair. Way back in 2010 when I ordered it, I could've sworn that the final episode led into the '86 Glynn theme. I remember it distinctively because it was only used there. The rest of the Lost Stories all ended up using the Peter Howell version. If you re-download it now, that closing episode has the same theme as the others. Nothing else is really different. For the early Monthly Range stories, it could easily be one of those "Nice idea, we'd like to get round to it," sort of situations. I can see it being something they'd like to do, but have been prioritising other things over. Once everything is run in with the new Doctor-specific ranges, maybe they'll look into it? You are definitely right about The Nightmare Fair - I have the CD and it ends with the Dominic Glynn theme.
They can't retcon CDs the way they can with downloads!
This comment is sort of off-topic, since it's not Main Range, but I will say, I remember Nightmare Fair being this way. I pulled up my years-old download copy and it has the Glynn Theme at the end.
I have thought about re-doing at least some of the theme music on the early MR titles, but that's a lot of work and it's not like anyone else will ever hear it. Now, I do edit new releases to remove the trailer and the isolated scores and, once they come out, replace the extras with the extended version. So it's not hard to also go and replace the end credit music on many recent Monthly Range releases with my preferred edit of the Howell end theme, and the Televised version of the 7th Doctor ending. I don't recall if I've ever replaced the Trial/Glynn theme though, but I probably could, since I've played around with elements of Glynn's various remixes.

I have just been reading about the two Shadow of the Daleks instalments in Vortex and must say that all the stories sound very intriguing.
I said at the time of announcement that I was surprised there wasn’t a bundle offer on the two releases, now that surprise has turned to disappointment and now to patience as I like the sound of these releases and the two monthly range December releases, so I’ll have to wait to see what is coming out in January and February to see if a six release subscription would be work for me.
I am looking forward to the change of the monthly range to box sets as it will make the picking and choosing so much easier.

Wonderful! December's two monthly range stories are must-buys really, aren't they? And not a Dalek in sight. I'll miss the main range.

David Richardson seems to have resumed the role of Main Range producer for the 5th dr story - I thought Scott Handcock had taken over Five?
And I guess this also means that one, but probably both, of the previously announced MR stories Perils and Nightmares and The Lost Resort have been deferred to the new boxset era?

As these are two linked stories I'm wondering if the MR will end with a mutli-Doctor story to conclude a trilogy begun with these two?

John Dorney said on Twitter they've been delayed so likely.

John Dorney said on Twitter they've been delayed so likely. Well they did say somewhere that Shadow of the Daleks was written to replace them in the schedule and Chris Chapman also said that Plight of the Pimpernel was always intended for the slot its currently in, or something to that effect.

While today's announcements are so intriguing, I bet release 275 will feature the Seventh Doctor.

These both look lovely. No mention of Flip with Connie though, wonder if this is going to be the getting Connie home and writing her out story? Hope not, love those three together. Both great covers again. Great writers, Moore always delivers and I loved Kettle's River Song story.
