Lots of flat pack shelving from Ikea mate lol, i have a 4 bedroom house i converted one room into a Doctor Who temple with all my memorbella on display, i like to look at my collection on my shelfs it makes me nostalgic as i reflect on the effort & sacrifices made in building my Doctor Who collection. Same here bro- I have many interests, Doctor Who being one.. The main reason my wife and I bought this townhouse is so I could convert the larger back room to my Batcave, I have been collecting since very early 80's ( my room had 9 IKEA bookcases with double extenders reaching the roof ).. For the last 5 or so years I have had to hire a storage shed , it took me a good couple weeks to pack everything away and relocate to the shed which is only a good 10-15 mins drive away.. the room is now my sons bedroom. Pretty much everything of my collectibles is in storage except my BF cds- I have 5 big boxes they are tucked away under our bed LOL..

I am digital release for two main reasons.
1 - Cost - the cost difference is huge, and since I would just rip the CD's to iTunes and transfer to my ipod, it didn't make any sense to pay more money to have more "stuff" on shelves.
2 - Space - the amount of space that would be taken up by having everything on shelves is enormous. I just don't need the physical item. As a side note, when my dad passed away, we went through the house, took some stuff out and bulldozed the house. That is not an exaggeration, that is really what we did. Seeing the amount of "stuff" he had that was just gotten rid of has made me quite a minimalist. He was a hoarder. Also, at the end of June we were flooded - 14 inches of water in my basement - (I live in Michigan) and I lost so much "stuff," and if I had had all these on CD, I would have lost most of them anyway, so l have saved money, space, and the loss of "stuff." For those that like the physical item, I understand and have no qualms with others liking things differently.

Always digital unless there is a reason to go physical (signed editions, unable to get digital version, physical is cheaper than digital ver etc)
Cheers

I have the same sentiment as you; when, after a bereavement, you deal with all their clutter you then perceive your own items differently. I’ve definitely reduced the amount I buy, but still get some ‘stuff’. Though I don’t want to burden my family with having to get rid of a huge hoard when the time comes, so am very happy to stick with downloads.
