We appreciate your involvement & other BF writer's on this friendly forum, which i think is one of the nicest Doctor Who forums that i am a member of. And the sheer, genuine bravery of putting yourselves as well as your work out there. From seasoned experient John Dorney to recent newcomer Chris Chapman. We're very lucky to have you all. I thought I recognised the name, Dudman played the Tenth Doctor for a Being Me campaign a while back. I have a hard time believing he'll be anything other than spectacular, all the best to the man.

This fandom is always interesting. Aren't they all? Now more so than ever because it's right smack in the centre of a heavily (shall we say overly) politicised world doing what it's always done, which is reinvent itself. Remember when Doctor Who was ruined forever by deciding to remain Earthbound? Or when they changed actors for the very first time? Hey, remember when the show was destroyed by Dimensions in Time? *sigh* I miss Doctor Who. Shame it never ever got off its feet again.

Yeah, there absolutely 100% wasn't a fiftieth anniversary special. We all imagined it.

It's sort of like Voldemort from Harry Potter in that regard. The Fandom That Must Not Be Named.

I know I'm late to party guys, but here's my two cents.
I was absolutely not interested in the Ninth Doctor Chronicles. The format did not interest me and I don't love Nick's impression of Chris Eccleston. Listening to the trailer solidified it for me. I hated it. There was no way that I was going to buy it.
Then I heard the free excerpt during the podcast and, to my surprise, I thought it sounded pretty good. Then I read everyone's responses after it was released and heard some really good things. So, in spite of myself, I purchased it. And boy was I happy I did. While I still don't love Nick's impression of Eccleston, I wasn't bothered by it. In fact, once I got used to it I thought he gave a great performance. the stories were fantastic and I even recommended it to one or two people, who also ended up buying it (and I hope liking it). I'm so glad that I was able to get past my preconceptions and give it a try. And while I'm not immediately pre-ordering this, I'm keeping an open mind about it. In fact, I still might pre-order it at some point. I'm not sure. But I highly recommend keeping an open mind. I mean, it's BF. It's Doctor Who. No one does it better. What else is there to say?

I had a very similar thing happen to me for The Widow's Assassin. I was really unsure about the idea of post-Trial Peri stories, but I decided to get it anyway to see how they'd fare. It's Big Finish, their whole modus operandi is elevating questionable story choices. With the benefit of hindsight, I definitely think my favourite moment of that story was being proven wrong.

Yes, I didn’t expect Michelle Ryan, I must say. On the whole, I find the cast list a little lacklustre, but I like that they’ve got a story to represent each series David Tennant did, as well as his specials year.

I'M EXCITED.
The Doctor and Sylvia paired off in an adventure is an intresting perspective both comically and dramatically. Sylvia wanting to learn about her daughter's life is going to be heartbreaking and Ten isn't going to be in a good place to deal with and is going to be harsh, isn't he?
Confession time: I actually really like The Slitheern. The creepy naughty children aspect of their characters is incredibly unnerving and the zips are so ridicilious, that's it's unnerving and sinister. I'm not a fan of fart jokes, but Who's a family show, so I get the appeal and love it or leave it: it was a good move to shake up the younger audience four weeks in. I'd imagine Big Finish is going to explore the darker aspects of (and have the gas exchange fixed) the characters here. I actually love Aliens of London - it's a great shakeup four weeks in, Big Ben destroyed, the revival establishing that the horror will come back home to roost (and very Third Doctor), the very clever twist halfway through, and it was the episode that first gave us Harriet Jones. It's World War Three when it becomes unstuck for me and Boom Town's glimpse into the Slitheen gives plenty to Big Finish to expand upon.
I'm really intrested to see what Big Finish will do with Martha here and it seems she's going to lead the tale. MARTHA JONES, EVERYONE. Lady Christina was NOT favourite companion onscreen, but it's Big Finish and I know there going to do something intresting with the character. (It's possible she's going to be an ugly reflection of Ten's actions during the specials)

Once Jacob Dudman was announced I decided I wasn't going to bother with this release but... Slitheen, eh? I'm interested...

Funnily enough, I had a feeling the special guest would be Michelle Ryan...
And Slitheen! Exciting.

I was hoping for Bernard Cribbins as Wilf but Michelle Ryan as Lady Christina Dr Souza is an interesting choice. I just hope we get to hear a Big Finish Doctor Who release with Wilf before Bernard Cribbins sadly leaves us.
Not too enthusiastic about the Slitheen being in this set. I hope we're not going to get an hour of them farting because that would be a hard listen on audio.

On the whole, I find the cast list a little lacklustre, but I like that they’ve got a story to represent each series David Tennant did, as well as his specials year. It's about the same as The Ninth Doctor Chronicles for me. Bruno Langley and Camille Coduri were great choices, but the non-Who guest cast didn't interest me much. Whereas The Tenth Doctor Chronicles Jaqueline King returning as Sylvia is a little uninteresting compared to other Tenth Doctor era characters (No offence to Jaqueline King - she did a great job in the role and probably will here too, but the writing just made her seem like a watered down Jackie Tyler) but bavimg Michelle Ryan return as Lady Christina is a brilliant choice and Jon Culshaw is a pretty cool casting. Both could have had much worse choices of characters from their era. I doubt many would care for Silas Carson voicing the Moxx Of Balhoon for example, or Francine Jones making a comeback.

Do we know for sure this is set Post-Series Four when Donna lost her memories of the Doctor? Reading the synopsis, I assumed it would be during Series Four and that the Doctor would need either Wilf or Sylvia to investigate into the care home. That way would mean there's one story for each part of the Tenth Doctor's era.

Great news, can’t wait for this release!! I like how they have covered every part of the Tennant era, including the solo travels, now just to wait for info on the Eleventh Doctor set

Right, my bet is on Brian Williams and Jenny Flint for the Eleventh Doctor Chronicles.

Right, my bet is on uBrian Williams and Jenny Flint for the Eleventh Doctor Chronicles. I’d go for Brian Williams and Queen Nefertiti and/or Riddel from dinosaurs on a spaceship
