While it's a shame that it means Twice Upon A Time will need to be a standalone now, a la Time Of The Doctor, it only makes sense to have this in shops for Christmastime.

I remember when I had 3 different copies of The Day of the Doctor (technically 4 if we're counting digital versions).

I didn't bother with the standalone of Time Of The Doctor as I got it in the OOP 50th Anniverary set, but I think what they did with that was include other Xmas eps to make the release a bit fuller, so I wouldn't be surprised if the eventual release of Twice Upon A Time comes with Last Christmas, Husbands Of River Song and Doctor Mysterio as extras to do likewise.

Yeah they did, which is why I ended up with multiple copies of The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe and Christmas Carol lol Cheers Tony

I'm not really surprised that they're releasing it without TUAT, because I guess it makes sense to get it out for the Christmas market. I was hoping they'd hold off until just after Christmas and release it with TUAT. I guess they'll release it as a standalone. Kinda annoying, especially after all the faff with The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.

That's even worse in my mind. DAMN TOO MANY DVD EXTRAS RUINING MY LIFE, THAT'S WORSE THAN HITLER.

I wonder if the 12th Doctor will get a big release including everything like the 11th Doctor did? And if not, I hope they load up the 2017 Christmas special with extras.

Can I like ^ this ^ more than once? Cheers Tony Done it for you! As for the product, yes please. Series 10: the new Golden Age. I'm already getting nostalgic for an era which hasn't technically ended yet.

I wouldn't give up hope on there being no Series 10 collection with Twice Upon a Time. There's the (extremely) unlikely possibility that they'll release Doctor Who: The Ex10ded Tenth Series or something like that in the new year

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

This is the first time since it came back that I've actually wanted to by a season of the series as a boxset. I have DotD on iTunes and I've enjoyed most seasons, but never enough to want to buy it. I am actually looking forward to this.

As mentioned by @davygallagher in the steelbook thread, the complete series 10 is now available for preorder in the UK - release date 13th November Amazon DVD Link Amazon Blu Ray LinkAmazon Steelbook LinkSo it looks like the xmas special will be a separate release over here as well (unless they do the very unusual thing of releasing it as part of Series 11). Cheers Tony

Cheers Tony It won't come out as part of Series 11. Like the last time we had a Doctor with episodes out too late for the series set - Matt post-Series 7 - we'll get a standalone of Twice Upon A Time just as we did Day and Time Of The Doctor. I'd imagine there's a chance, like the Time release, they'll pad it by including Capaldi's other Chistmas specials. And anyone baulking at the prices, these are the first day RRPs...they always come down on Amazon. 30 quid for the DVD, 35 for the blu and 40 for the steel was the release day structure for S9 so should be pretty similiar for this.

I wonder if they will do a Series 1-10 boxset? I don't own any of the New Who stories on Dvd...

I wonder if they will do a Series 1-10 boxset? I don't own any of the New Who stories on Dvd... Multi-series complete to-date boxsets aren't something that BBCWW have done often and even then on one format only - I can only really think of Series 1-4 on DVD and then the 1-7 set on bluray.
