I doubt if I could pick just five titles as 'best' Big Finish stories as there are so many brilliant Big Finish stories that I really enjoy... hundreds of them in fact!
I'm not too sure I could pick five 'worst' stories either as there's only one or two Big Finish stories that I have really disliked over the years. Some stories are better than others obviously and some stories don't always grab me, but generally Big Finish don't do bad.
Sorry!

You might as well ask me to divide by zero.
I had a hard enough time completing that BF survey that was designed to pick the best ten or twenty out of the main range, or whatever it was, some time ago.
Worst is easier. From the MR: The Dark Husband simply bored me. I suppose Scaredy Cat didn't do much for me either, neither did The Wishing Beast or The Boy that Time Forgot.
Still, I've never felt that anything I've listened to was cringeworthy-bad, as some of the TV episodes have been for me. I've rolled my eyes at the screen and/or shouted some curses...
....haven't done that with a BF episode.

How does anyone possibly choose a 'best'?

Worst:
"Minuet in Hell" The story is drugged, Buffy's parody is insufferable, and wasted a long-awaited meeting between the Brigadier and the Eighth Doctor.
Any story with Thomas Brewster, he is the Danny Pink of Big Finish. And "The Boy That Time Forgot"
The disappointing Key2Time trilogy, its biggest sin is to be so boring. Even "Mistfall" is somewhat entertaining.
"Eldrad Must Die!" The worst sequel ever.
"The Five Companions": Something predictable and fanservice, would have been better without Nyssa (and it's hard to hear that audio with her talking so positively about the fifth Doctor knowing that she soon lost her family because of him and the events of "The Entropy Plague")
Best:
Farewell, Great Macedon: A lost gem, a great loss for the TV series but a great gift for Big Finish.
The Emerald Tiger: The most cinematic audio of all, the only great one of the Old Nyssa saga that is worth listening to.
The Veiled Leopard: Entertaining and the concept is creative and interesting, I would like a sequel with New Series companions and Clasic Series companions.
The Stones of Venice: Pure beauty, I miss those innocent times of the Eighth Doctor.
Death in Blackpool: I'm not crying, I'm not crying.
The Wrath of the Iceni: More historical stories for the Fourth Doctor, please.
Psychodrome and Iterations of I: Two great stories from my favorite TARDIS team.
Sympathy for the Devil: A creepy "what if?"
Death and the Queen: A fairy tale, something very different in the alien invasion RTD era.
Night Thoughts: A personal favorite, it's like a classic Resident Evil with disturbing elements from Silent Hill.
