I need a new range to get my teeth into while I study and I think the 4DA might be the perfect one. I have all of Season 2 and King of Sontar but no others, wondering what you guys would recommend from all across the range maybe a top 3 or 5?

'White Ghosts' and 'Last of the Colophon' are my favourites from the Fourth Doctor Adventures range. If you like your stories more horror-flavoured I'd recommend both of these. And Series Three as a whole is very strong and diverse.

The Haunting of Malkin PlaceThe Paradox Planet/Legacy of DeathRequiem For The Rocket Men/Death MatchNight of the StormcrowThe Justice of JalxarThe Wrath of the IceniEnjoy! Seconded! I would add two more: 'The Cloisters of Terror' and 'The Silent Scream'. Top three: The top one is easy: 'The Wrath of the Iceni'. It's a pure historical and it's outstanding. Then 'Requiem For The Rocket Men'/'Death Match' make an excellent 'space' four-parter. Three more: 'The Justice of Jalxar' is special for being Jago & Litefoot too. But you already have series 2, so 'The Silent Scream' from the last series instead - 1930s Hollywood film horror. 'The Cloisters of Terror' and 'The Haunting of Malkin Place' because I love a good ghost story and these both are. That's 4 with Leela, 2 with Romana II, a reasonably good spread of series.

The Paradox Planet (Part 1) Legacy of Death (Part 2) The Trouble with Drax
Amazing stories that perfectly capture the mood of Season 17.

In order of preference, here's my five recommendations:
The Trouble With Drax The Paradox Planet/Legacy of Death The Crooked Man The Silent Scream The Eternal Battle
I think all of Series 5 was quite good, but the two at the top of my list are likely my favorite Fourth Doctor adventures Big Finish has ever done besides The Foe From the Future. The Crooked Man is one really great story from a series of really great stories - all of Series 3 is worth listening to in my opinion. And all of Series 6 was great (even if at times it could lean a little too much toward the Season 17 feel), but the stories I find myself returning to the most are The Silent Scream and The Eternal Battle. Dethras and The Haunting of Malkin Place are close contenders, though.
If you haven't checked out Philip Hinchcliffe Presents (and I can't blame anyone if they haven't, given how pricey they are), I really enjoyed the first boxset and The Genesis Chamber. The Helm of Awe has some fantastic characterization of the Doctor and a fantastic performance from Tom Baker that puts me in mind of his first couple of seasons with Sarah Jane, but I can't confess to having followed the story that well.

I definitely recommend the season 6 finale Skin of the Sleek and The Thief Who Stole Time. The four episodes give the story great pacing, the story in interesting and the world building is incredible. It's easily Lalla Ward's best performance in the whole season.
If you want to branch out, the Gareth Roberts Novel Adaptations are fantastic, and Night of the Stormcrow is a good one.

Sigh more money - but money well spent I'm sure!
