Not to worry. Some of us old farts prefer downloads. Hey! Maybe it has nothing to do with age!

Not to worry. Some of us old farts prefer downloads. Hey! Maybe it has nothing to do with age! I prefer hard copies but needs must for space so for anything not featuring a Doctor, I went DL only a couple of years ago. Just too many releases. It used to be nice and easy back in 't day.

I’ve purchased something on download to fill in the gaps everyday now since the sale started.

I prefer downloads for Big Finish because I'm only going to end up listening on my phone (since I tend to listen on commutes or while walking), so getting a CD seems like paying for the inconvenience of having to rip it. This discount was very welcome to me since I have some massive gaps in 51-100. I picked up most of the first 50 well before they were discounted, but I have so many of 51-100 missing that I can actually get subscriptions for them.

So does this mean that download prices will be lowered to the same as 1-50 too? If so I think I just felt my bank account tremble... The Guess is £6 for CDs (£1 more then last time plus postage, and a 10% discount for UK Customers if they spend more then £50) and £2.99 for DLs

Well that ^^^ was a very good guess wasn't it? Kudos to Mark! What I didn't realise until now was that the 'Early Years Download Subscription' now also applies to 51-100. So if you only want downloads, a run of 12 is just £32. Bargain bargains.

If you buy the CD from BF you do also get the download included of course, so no ripping necessary. But if you'll never listen to the CDs, then yes, the 1-100 downloads are great value.

I can't stop filling in the gaps! Go for it! Why not? Glorious opportunity... That's what I did the first time I caught a sale from 50 onward while having any funds in the bank is to throw as many as humanly possible into my shopping cart, starting with the Divergent Universe arc - something I'm not likely to ever regret.

Completely agree, us old farts like a physical product lol. I prefer physical media and I'm only 25. (Though I'm balding and occasional rather grumpy, so I guess I'm an old fart at heart...) There's no point in being happy if you can't be grumpy sometimes........lol

I can't stop filling in the gaps! Yes you can - when all the gaps are filled and not before....
This really is the Time, isn't it? A few Seventh and Eighth Doctor-shaped gaps for me still to plug, then I'll be complete 51-100.

Big Finish listening app really has changed the way I consume their audios. I'm still buying CDs. I still have a complete run of the Main Range on my shelves but I'm slowly moving towards a point where I can at least imagine moving to downloads. Which, I suspect, is where BF would very like people to move to.

Scherzo is officially out of print, after 9 months! The first of many for sure, I just didn't expect it to take so long before this would happen. Although I was always certain it would be the first to go.
