Spelling is secondary to the meaning coming across anyway.

Spelling is secondary to the meaning coming across anyway. It is. I just thought it would be fun to start a conversation with innuendo based on it.

We got the meaning clearly and it's the content that makes a good post. And with everyone using 'mis-predictive' text and 'auto-complete-it-wrongly' on their phones, typos are the new norman.

On the old forum I made a typo when discussing Counter Measures. That "o" makes all the difference!

I agree. I didn't mean to seem like I was attacking the poster for the typo and I'm sorry if it came across that way to Nunber13. I just thought it would be fun to start a conversation with innuendo based on it.

I found this initially confusing, then when I worked out what was going off, amusing: If we can't agree on this, can we agree on what milk Alex Kingston would be if she was a dairy product? I'm still going for semi-skimmed. I found this mean spirited, it was a joke, it may have landed it may not have done so, but it was perfectly harmless and didn't amount to an attack... this... however seems to me to be an attack. Yes alright, Dalekbuster. mark687 made a typo. You're very clever pointing it out.

That escalated quickly. Paz, if you're reading, I always enjoy your input and hope you do as rran did last week and reconsider deleting your membership here.

The Let's Make Levine Red thread seems to have created a lot of tension on here. I don't think @paz said anything bad.

Hmm, very vague. I quite liked Nardole's ending, his last scene with the Doctor and Bill was very well done, so I'd rather he didn't return. His character is ripe for Big Finish though, so hopefully if they get the rights to Capaldi era stuff they'll make good use of him.

Paz, I've enjoyed reading your story reviews on the Wells' classics threads especially, and other threads too. Regeneration is easy on DU, you don't even have to do all the orange light stuff...

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

I'd love for Nardole to come back: I think there are still mysteries to plumb with his character and I'd like to know some more about his shady past.

Very vague, he may simply mean his relationship with the show isn't over because he's going to be attending more conventions, doing promotional interviews or DVD commentaries for the S10 Dvd release, Nardole is one of my favourite companions and Lucas really impressed with his acting range (that's not to say I thought he was a bad actor before-I didn't, I just knew him mostly for comedy) I'd certainly like to hear more of him at BF one day, but I don't personally want the character to carry over to the 13th Doctor, Nardole's ending was a very poignant one and I'm hoping Series 11 is a semi-reboot like Series 5 was, new showrunner, new characters, new arcs with little ties to what has gone before. Or perhaps A) He has a cameo/flashback scene in the Xmas special (fingers crossed-Uncle Nardy is probably the Doctor's longest serving companion, and although I liked the characters ending it would nice to get one last hurrah before the handover to Chibnall) B) BF are in discussions about getting the rights to the character, perhaps he will appear in the River Song boxsets or short trips C) Perhaps the BBC/Titan comics are doing a Nardole centric short story compilation? Maybe Lucas with his writing background has been asked for his thoughts? D) Or perhaps he is doing an audiobook reading for the BBC.

I didn't feel Nardole's exit from the show was rushed. I would be inclined to think his 'return' will be briefly in the Christmas special. I wouldn't mind Big Fiish taking him on for a while. The Nardole Chronicles has a certain appeal! I wouldn't be surprised if Nardole's first Big Finish appearance is in The Diary of River Song. Maybe in a story that takes place after The Husbands of River Song where River tells Nardole to find her diary and look after the Doctor once she's gone. Aren't the River Song boxsets all set post Husbands? Perhaps they could do a few flashbacks with Nardole.

Well, if Chinball wants to continue the Moffat inclination to never let anyone who matters actually die, I suppose he can have Magic Space Girl rescue him and all the humans too. (I'd prefer him not to because it meant intended gut-punches elicited a roll of the eyes instead).
Otherwise, I wish they'd just go back to either saying goodbye to companions (or, I guess, actually killing them) and then leaving it at that. Davison's hallucination scene made sense, but I'm not very keen on having regeneration episodes go down some checklist where all companions have to make a cameo from here on out...

Scorched earth would make it easier for licensing, Big Finish for example. The Paternoster Gang can't be used together and the UNIT audios cannot reference their appearances in Twelfth Doctor TV stories. If story and character threads are wrapped up by Twice Upon a Time, then when Big Finish extend the New Series licence upntomand including that point it's more clean cut who and what they can and can't use.
