Not trying to brag but...told you the Bradley Walsh rumours were going to be true: Fair play DB, you were right on this one. But three!! Chibnall's keeping his word about taking creative risks. No wonder he wants hour-long episodes, assuming that rumour's true.

I guess you could say 'The chase is on'. It's not Walsh's involvement its the fact that there're 2 others 1 hour eps still might not be long enough for character development and stories.

No wonder he wants hour-long episodes, assuming that rumour's true. Radio Times confirms it's 50-minute episodes with only the first being 60.

Quite a sea change. I really wonder what the status quo will be...will they all travel, will some be Earthbound? Very, very exciting. There'll be a lot of nonsense about casting a game-show host but anyone who has seen Walsh in Law And Order UK will know he can do drama. I seem to remember him being fun in Corrie too as Mike Baldwin's nephew who owned the factory.

I hadn't heard of the other two before (quick google shows up they've both got soap experience behind them), so just have to wait and see. I have faith, just hope they all get a decent amount of material.

No wonder he wants hour-long episodes, assuming that rumour's true. To be fair, we have had three companions in the TARDIS before. Ian, Barbara and Susan to name one three companion dynamic that worked very well. I think it makes sense that Chibnall is playing to his strengths of ensemble casts. A big part of Broadchurch's appeal is the way Chibnall expertly balances a large cast so they all have a moment to shine.

Might explain the rumours of a more serialized format.

Not one to brag but you are willing to do it anyway. Anyway, you were not the only one who said it was probably him.
