So I know Big Finish's version of The Prisoner has been getting pretty high praise, but before I purchase I wish to watch the original television series from 1967. I have a problem however as the Wikipedia page has different listings for how you should watch the Prisoner as it isn't told in a linear story so I was wondering which order I should watch the show in?

Don't worry... it won't make any more sense one way or the other! (Albeit, looking at the Wikipedia page, don't follow the production order. "Fall Out" should definitely come directly after "Once Upon A Time". And am I the only person who reckons that's a Dalek with its plunger on Leo McKern?)

The only fixed episodes in sequence are the first "Arrival" and the last 2 "Oncde Upon a Time" and "Fallout" there is a lot of disagreement about the sequence for the other episodes.
As the episodes do not make direct reference to each other they can be watched in any sequence. The most-linked episodes are "The Schizoid Man", "The General" and "A, B or C" which I recommend watching consecutively in that sequence - though there are arguments that it should be otherwise. I don't want to explain due to spoilers.

The order of the episodes has been endlessly debated. In fact I think Patrick McGoohan thought not all the episodes were essential. You may want to listen to Big Finish or watch the show. The audio drama rather pointlessly reimagines episodes of the TV show with inferior results.
