...in that Zimbabwe has removed Robert Mugabe from power, not before time though a court saying that military action was legal is tenuous at best. It might be just but...anyway. Let's hope Zimbabwe has a way forward that is peaceful and not a tyranny.
But in a totally unimportant and First World Problem kind of way I seem to remember that Zimbabwe was one of the places that those searching for lost Who episodes weren't allowed search, thanks to Mugabe himself and his hatred of the BBC. That might change in the near future, or simply change because one man's irrationality isn't guiding it anymore. So while the odds are against us it might be that some more episodes are out there to be found. Fingers crossed.

I certainly hope that they find there way to a peaceful state.
That being said, of course I hope there’s is some Doctor Who there. I don’t think we’ll find out until 2020 at least. I doubt it’s stable enough to go looking over there now and I’m sure that doing an inventory of their television archives is not a priority right now.
That being said, when the time to take a look over there does come, I only hope that it isn’t Ian Levine leading the charge. My personal dislike of him aside, his demeanor is hardly going to do any favors and his attitude is more likely to close doors than open them.

The sad thing is Zimbabwe sounds like it's just going from one dictator to another. So any kind of political/societal progress appears pretty glacial at the moment. I did not know that thing about Mugabe keeping the BBC out of the country, though.

It will probably be Phil Morris looking into it, considering Levine will probably give up on the show at long last with the whole Shada being completed without HIS animation, and the Thirteenth Doctor being a woman, and the fact that he's old.

The new guy was Mugabe's second-hand man, and from what I heard, is known for his ruthlessness and opportunism.

Maybe we could all have a whip round to send Ian Levene out to Zimbabwe to hunt for some missing Doctor Who episodes? (We'll only pay for the return part of the ticket if he finds some though! )
