Anyone else planning on seeing it?
The reviews are far more positive than I thought they'd be.

Based on reviews it's an inoffensive popcorn movie perfect for the family over Christmas, and the four lead actors do really well. At least it doesn't start with a twenty minute Frozen rejected TV special before the movie.

Frankly given the first one sucked, I can’t for the life of me see why this reboot was needed. This reliance on superhero movies and remakes of bad films/ bad remakes of good films means I watch fewer movies and read more than is probably good for me.

She was brilliant as Amy Pond, and I love her performance as Nebula in the Guardians of the Galaxy films.

I saw it last night and its a really enjoyable sequel (Yes its a sequel not a reboot) The cast are really enjoying themselves and it plays with the tropes really well. Jack Black hasn't been this good in a while.

I saw it tonight, and I thought it was a lot of fun. The school scenes at the beginning felt a bit cliche, but the film really takes off once it gets to the jungle and the adult cast are hilarious together. I loved Jack Black as Bethany in the body of 'Doctor Shelly Oberon, and of course Karen Gillan was great playing the bookworm Martha trapped in the sexy Lara Croft-esque body of Ruby Roundhouse. Overall, it was an improvement over the original Jumanji - which I've always thought was pretty average, although Robin Williams was great in that film - and had some nice nods to the original. Alan Parrish's house was a nice moment. I really hope there's a third one. Only the console was destroyed at the end, so the game is still there - and the Jumanji drumbeat is heard before Spencer stomps on the console, so 'Jumanji' still seems to have the teenagers in its sight.
