Or an honest to goodness Fantastic Four comic title. With the right creative team it could easily prove popular. With Fantastic Four back in Disney/Marvel control I would think we will have a comic book title back on the shelves within a year. At least the ghastly Inhuman push over X-Men has ended. Now if the X-Men can avoid another mutant extinction/endangering storyline for a few years we'll be golden. Ms Resurrection herself, Jean Grey, is coming back soon.

Bob Iger has already confirmed that Deadpool will remain "R" rated.

I'd like to see the Fantastic Four meet the Guardians of the Galaxy. Johnny Storm hanging out with Peter Quill would be fantastic. Get Captain America in there and it'll be Chris and Chris squared. Marvel really like people called Chris.

There's absolutely no way they won't be back in the comics now. In fact, I suspect they've known for a while that Marvel Studios may get the Fantastic Four back. There's an upcoming story teasing their comic return called 'The Fate of the Four' in Marvel Two-In-One, featuring Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm. That story will probably directly lead into the FF being back. I think you overstate how long Marvel Comics has known. It was reported that Comcast only dropped out of talks in the past week to 10 days or so. It was always Marvel's plan to drop FF for a year or so as to not help the Fox movie of the same name, so if plans are already in motion to return Marvel's 1st family to the comics, I seriously doubt the Fox deal had anything to do with it. They could have heard whisperings, and had two endings prepared just in case.

Think of all the shows Disney could bring back that Fox stupidly cancelled

I kinda hope we get a clean slate with the X-Men movies if/when they introduce them into the MCU. I haven’t been a huge fan of the X-Men movies the past few years, so I’d be more than happy for them to start fresh again.

I think the most likely scenario is for every Fox-Marvel movie except Deadpool to be rebooted with an MCU cast. I highly suspect they'll keep Deadpool in its current form rather than start from scratch and cast someone new.

Not that I really care much about superhero movies anymore but god that sounds terrible. Every blockbuster will stick to the Marvel movie format.

Disney owning Fox, God help us they are the equivalent to EA gaming, don't give a damm about quality as long as they can sell a few lunchboxes.

Disney don't care about quality? They seem to have a rather high batting average with Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars. Must be a series of accidents.

Regardless of how good Disney's quality has been or the idea of them having some new IPs to do justice for, the Disney-Fox merger has me weary. I don't doubt that there'll be some great movies, but now there's less competition in the industry. Less voices to be heard. Less of a reason for Disney to do something different with their properties. Disney makes some fantastic movies, I definitely agree, and again, I'm sure they'll make some more great movies with the properties they gained from this merger. But I'm still worried about what this will mean for the future. We're already giving big corporations the power to control the Internet here in the States, after all (against the will of most of the population, I might add, but I digress).

All these mergers destroy competition & diversity. I guess its good news for people that love superhero movies.

Is that the Darth Vader theme i hear playing in the background? Well Disney might as well ruin X-Men they ruined pretty much everything else.

For over a decade, Jean's death was a done deal. It's easy to be cynical, but her return feels earnt to me. And while I HATE what Marvel has done to Cyclops in recent years, it's going to be intresting to see Jean operate in the world he left behind and deal with X. I'm not a fan of the mutant extinction storylines, either. I think we're going to see ReXurrection push past all that eventually.
