Trust me on this, don't watch Hudson Hawk, once seen it's burned into the memory bank forever, muckypup we need to talk, prepare the mind probe lol.
As for Star Wars, I've hd to cut ties with this trilogy, for me it's 1-6, Rogue One & possibly future spin offs Kenobi,Vader? & I'm happy with that.
If some fans enjoyed it that's great I'm glad you found it rewarding experience, just don't tell me i have too like it because that does annoy me.
I literally loathe & detest Last Jedi, no style & definitely no substance, don't set arcs up in previous film if your not going to give them a satisfying pay off it's that simple, i will never be convinced that this is a unique addition to the franchise because to me it's the movie which left me seething & if my personal life with family illness wasn't enough stress i at lest hoped this film would revitalise me during a worrying time but instead enraged me to point it sunk me into a dark depressive mood (I'm manic bipolar) & ruined my Christmas.
Thank God for those Timothy Zahn novels

As someone who isn't a big Star Wars fan, and has seen the film twice, I still find it pretty mediocre on it's own merits as a film. There are some good bits, but there's so much dissonance between what the film is trying to say, and what actually happens. In some way, I do respect Rian Johnson for not taking the easy path and trying to do something different, but too many aspects are just poorly executed.

Episodes 1-6, Rogue One & possibly future spin offs, the new trilogy will never see light day in my collection, Disney in my opinion are churning out badly scripted stories & Last Jedi felt worlds apart from what i love, bad acting, awful character arcs......sorry i can't get into it as if i start ranting I'll never stop. What they did Lukes character is unforgivable, no way would he abandon his friends & family and Leia becoming Mary Poppins.....I'll stop now need go lie down in zero room, i much prefer the Timothy Zahn novels, excellent written adventures true to the characters. I shall have plenty of Big Finish keep me going while the current era plays out even though Tim (Billy2) Bradley trying to coax me to watch first episode.. See Mark687 see what you done Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol. I hope Timelord007 will like the new era of 'Doctor Who'!
Failing that, I'll be reviewing Season 12 and Season 19 of 'Doctor Who' on Blu-ray during the Christmas holidays to cheer him up.
Re: 'The Last Jedi' I'm one of those people who didn't like or dislike the movie. I thought it was okay. Here's my pretty long review on the movie (I need to revisit it sometime ) on my blog - bradleybasement.wordpress.com/2017/12/30/movie-review-star-wars-episode-viii-the-last-jedi/

I don't know how Tim but your coaxed me watch the first episode of series 11 (Tim must have Jedi mind control powers ). However no amount of coaxing will persuade me to watch Last Jedi ever again.

I'm not going to debate the merits of the film too much again - I'd refer you to the debate Timelord and I had nearer the start of the read - my opinions haven't changed. LOVED 90% of it - it's ambitious, subversive, expansive storytelling that made the most predictable franchise in cinema outside of Bond into something unpredictable and fresh. But the Finn/Rose subplot while good emotionally is overlong and the chase.casino sequence jars.
Still my favourite Star Wars film since Empire by far.

Well of course you have to watch the series if only to dislike it and critique it.Remember it’s a tv program about a Time Lord in one fell swoop of a pen it can all be sorted out if it needs sorting lol by the next show runner.

It's great to see Matt get the gig though.

It's gonna be another Terminator Genisys for Mr Smith & he will be seen as a franchise killer & bad luck charm for franchises & never work again on one.

Yeah, if this one ends up being the last in the Skywalker trilogy everyone will blame poor Matt for everything going t**'s up. The plan for this trilogy has always been to close out the Skywalker saga and move into new territory for the movies.

Wow, you folks are a fine bundle of negativity.
However the movie turns out, I am in deep doubt that it will ruin Matt’s career.
