BF have created beloved new companions for the First, Third (sort of), Fourth (sooon), Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Doctors. When do you think they will inevitably start creating new companions for the New Series Doctors?

I would not mind if right out of the gate BF gives the 11th Doctor a new companion or two with all those gaps in his timeline that Moffat provided.

I'm always down for BF to create new eras and companions - I also think that (as was once the case with Colin and Sylvester) the new series Doctors didn't travel with enough companions before shuffling off.
The closest thing to an exception is Tennant who had three distinct solo companions and an extensive supporting cast - so basically, the Doctor that Big Finish has is the one that needs a new companion the least.

Nine might get some in future Ninth Doctor Chronicles.
Ten won't get any new companions until David Tennant's popularity wanes and his recording Big Finish becomes more about work for him and less catching up with old friends.
Eleven may get new companions, but not until Matt Smith's recorded a first volume with one or two of the TV companions.
Twelve will probably be the same as Eleven: none until there's a volume with Peter Capaldi and TV companion/s.

It'd be more feasible with a Companion Chronicles/Short Trips sort of format, I think.

Companions other than generic 21st century earth girl from London who's "special" please. Even switching genders would be a breath of fresh air.

Maybe, although I don't know if Big Finish would establish a new companion without any existing Doctors or companions in the cast. After all, their only original narrated companion - Oliver - co-starred with Peter Purves.

If the Tenth/Eleventh Doctors get a new companions, wouldn't it be cool if they copied the 'Blake's 7: Crossfire' or 'Torchwood: Aliens Among Us' format, 12 episodes over a few seasons to make a RTD/Moffat style season?

A male alien companion. Doesn't need to be an Earth girl all the time.

A male alien would be easy to achieve on audio, it's been done before with C'rizz. You've got the scenes where someone from another planet is more socially conscious than the Eleventh Doctor, or who draws his mannerisms from the Eleventh Doctor.

I'm not a Kylie fan but would have liked her character to have been a companion. Would make the earth set stories more interesting with an alien companion x

I wouldn’t use C’rizz as an example of a good companion. With consistently interesting writing he could have been great. His personality sponging for example, or his chameleonic properties. Both were used once or twice, but not a lot of the time. His alien appearance was used to great effect in Other Lives. Erimem was being used with the Fifth Doctor at the same time and could have been badly handled, but writers worked out what her character resonated with, historical settings, and really made it work.

A male alien companion. Doesn't need to be an Earth girl all the time. Nah, the genre's already got enough guys in it I wouldn't mind a new male companion if it was part of a new or existing female companion line up, though.

The female companions vastly outnumber the male companions, and the last time the Doctor on TV travelled with just a male companion (not counting Nardole) was Turlough between Resurrection of the Daleks and Planet of Fire. Last time before that was Jamie after leaving Victoria but before reaching the Wheel. Just please no romance. A brother sister combo can work.

I said genre, not the show I doubt that we'll get a brother and sister combination anytime soon. BBC Audio's Lost Quadriolgy had a brother/sister companion team with Alex and Brenden Yeow the option was left open for their return in future releases , and while technically not companions, the Twelfth Doctor short story Baby Sleeping Face in Tales of Terror featured two young kids Amber and Ross who were twins.

Teannet's incredibly busy and Big Finish have talked about how hard it was to lock him down for the recording of both Tenth Doctor releases.
