I didn't know there was an error as I haven't watched The Leisure Hive from the S18 set yet but if they are doing replacement discs I might as well get one.
Although I do have to scratch my head at the lack of pre-release quality control on these sets. This will be the third blu-ray disc that has needed a replacement from the Doctor Who collection series. Mistakes do happen in life I know, but it just seems odd that silly mistakes are slipping through.

Thanks for the info, but what is the audio problem please? So I can see if I want to bother requesting a replacement.
I've watched 'The Leisure Hive' twice, listening to the 5:1 mix with good headphones and didn't notice anything odd with the audio. (Not that I'm always the most observant!) As I understand it from this thread the problem doesn't affect the 5:1 just the mono mix.

I go straight to the extras, especially the 'Behind The Sofa' episodes. Quality control must be worse than I thought so!!!

I purchased the Season 18 set on 19th March from Amazon. Didn't seem to notice any errors though. Might as well contact them for replacements, just in case.
PS: Are there any Season 19 discs that have been subject to replacement?

I've just noticed on Castrovalva (Season 19 Disc 1) that the BBC1 Continuity feature goes completely out of since during the pre-titles. Not sure if that may be subject to a disc replacement...

Just reading that Colin "confirmed" over the weekend at a convention that S23, the Trial season, is coming sooner rather than later and he's recorded some new material for it. That season has been rumoured for a while to be upcoming so cool to get somewhat official confirmation even if it could still be the best part of a year away. The Trial box even on DVD is stunning - from Nicola finally watching the ending with added Brian Blessed to the stunning Trials And Tribulations documentary it's an essential piece of BTS archeology. It's also, of course, the season that has Doctor In Distress in full!
With S26 also having material recorded....could be Colin and Sylv will be on our shelves on blu in the nost too distant future. Odd to think Colin's era will be covered in just two sets. Well, with a prelude on Davison's S21 of course.

I was doing a bit of spring cleaning this evening with BF downloads and I actually got a bit lost in all the little bits and pieces of Sixie collected over the years. From his Main Range beginnings to The Lost Stories to The Final Adventure to his Jago and Litefoot appearances to special releases... For a life of little tenure on television, the man in the particoloured coat has quite the legacy. Decades worth of content, each as eagerly indulged as the last. It's... nice. Comforting.

I've just gotten around to watching The Leisure Hive from the Season 18 set (a fantastic story, as always), and I seem to remember someone mentioning that replacement discs were being offered for it because there was something wrong with it. I was just wondering what was wrong? I haven't noticed anything while watching it, so I was wondering whether it was a global thing or just a UK region thing?

Given that it's a biography doc I wonder if it's on Sylvester and the "big name you'd not expect" is Peter Jackson.

There was an earlier post saying it only affects the Dual Mono track, so if (like me) you always go straight for the 5:1 mix it's fine. And a great soundtrack it is too. ( How did I not like this story in 1980?? It is fantastic! )
