Got round to watching the new Logopolis yesterday. The revised version of the climactic final scenes work a lot lot better, in the past I had always found them a bit unsatisfactory.
Shed a wee tear for Four while I was watching.

I sent an e-mail off to Roadshow today asking about when/if the Australian release for Season 10 might be. I'll hopefully be able to post their response in the next couple of days.

The response from Roadshow was basically "Contact the BBC about it". Given the BBC told me to contact Roadshow the last time I had a question about these sets, I'm not 100% sure I'm going to get a firm answer any more, but it won't hurt to try.

Okay, I've heard back from "BBC Studios ANZ" (didn't know that was a thing). They are working on preparing an Australian release of Season 10, and say that they "will have news soon on its release date". So, it's definitely coming. I might just have to a bit more patient than for the last couple of sets.

Especially with the reduced packaging in the Aus/NZ sets now it's not like the boxes themselves would be holding things up. The US set is October, maybe it'll line up with the US schedule going forward. Even then...the US release for Colin's second season got pulled from Amazon a week ago and isn't back up so things really are up in the air for the international releases.

It’s back up on the Canadian site, hopefully America will follow suit.

It was originally scheduled for August 7th, but as the date drew closer the sites with pre-orders took them down. I also haven't been able to find the Aus artwork yet, which is usually released at least three weeks before the product itself. I've no idea what the holdup is, but as long as there's actually going to be an Aus release I'm prepared to wait for it. There's no point making my collection more mismatched than it already is by picking up the UK releases now If the previous Classic Series releases are anything to go by, I don't think we'll have to wait quite as long as the US. Even back in the DVD days we used to get them a month or more faster than the US did, so I'd be surprised if the Aus release is delayed for as long.

Are Blu-ray Discs in the US of Tom Baker Complete First Season still with errors and need to have a disc replaced or has that now been fixed?
Thanks.

Maybe they think the Planet of Gold is included in the set for real...

It may just be a temporary supply issue & thus a false alarm but Season 10 (yes, ten) is out of stock at the usual main places online. Which would be really remarkable when it's only been out a few weeks and Season 18 is still widely available. (Although 18 also had a brief 'OOP false alarm' a while ago before becoming available everywhere again.)
Still... never underestimate the popularity of Jon Pertwee, the Doctor! *swirls cape*

(I've still tended to shop there as a "little pen and little piece of paper" place rather than an "online ordering" place; clearly I am as 1970s as the Third Doctor )
So S10 is apparently almost OOP which I find hard to believe after only a few weeks??

Argos have now sold out on the online store for Season 10 (still shows but when you add it, an error message comes up saying it's not available. No-one else seems to have any more stock. If you check "completed items" on ebay for it, copies have sold for £100 in the past few days so...yeah....looking OOP now.
I posted part of this on the steelbook thread but with this Pertwee set going for £80-£100 sealed, Davison's S19 going for the same, the Eccleston Series 1 steelbook going for £200 (when they couldn't give it away for the longest time!), Tom's series 12 going for £400 and the Capaldi Series 9 steel fetching about £250-ish....there's pretty much a grand or just over in the hand for just those five titles alone. That's what they're actually selling at too, not just some chancers listing it high, even auctions starting lower are ending at these levels for those titles. Madness...and if S10 and S19 start to get as scarce as S12, £1000 wouldn't be enough to buy you that lot!

What I don't understand is why, when people from here to Nerva have all seen the crazy prices S12 is going for, why didn't everyone make sure they bought their copy of S19, S10 etc. while it was ~£40 and an absolute steal at that price considering the beauty of the total package and the quality of the contents?
Mind you, the speed at which S10 went OOP surprised even me, Pertwee fan though I am. Someone seriously underestimated the popularity of what is by any standards a key season, and with the full upgrade treatment being given to a famous Dalek story too. Or (as one cheeky poster suggested a while back) was it because some Third fan like Stevo or me bought enough copies to actually build a shrine out of... nice idea...

Or (as one cheeky poster suggested a while back) was it because some Third fan like Stevo or me bought enough copies to actually build a shrine out of... nice idea... I think it'll be interesting to see what S23/Trial does when that comes out and how quickly it goes OOP. We're BF fans so we know better than any non-audio Who fans what Colin and Sixie can do but I think it's fair to say Colin is still the least popular (I'd never say "worst") classic Doctor to fandom overall with many of his stories at or very, very close to the bottom every time DWM does a poll. So if that sells out fast....I think everything is fair game to go OOP lickety split. I wonder how many sales the range now gets from people buying two, or more, knowing that there's a good chance they'll at least double their money and pay for the one they bought themselves, and possibly get a lot more if there's a S12 repeat? I don't like to think of scalpers benefiting ahead of fans who can't get a copy affordably but then the set was available to order for what? 4 months or so when you factor in the time between announcement and release, then the last month? I know not everyone can afford things at the drop of a hat but 36 quid with months of notice isn't breaking the bank for most people, I'd suggest. It's about three or four coffees a months worth. If limited editions flew out the door with nary a payday to get behind you, I'd think that was unfair but as you say...it's clear this is the way of things for the range. S/he who hesitates.....well. They are things of beauty, and I don't think it can be stressed just how much some of the stories have improved. Sometimes the picture is not a major leap but the new audio mixes always are and the film inserts look stunning. And other times the visuals have come on massively since their DVD days - a lot of S10 in particular that hasn't been worked on in over a decade shone a lot brighter this time round. Even Carnival and Three Doctors - which were later stories to be done in the Revisitations series - they even come up lovely with 2019 restoration techniques and removing the compression that DVD causes versus bluray. Add that to the many, many new features, the deluxe packaging - those velcro-ed flaps revealing the TARDIS interior are downright sexy. - and Pete McTighe's wonderful thick booklets and I almost feel like I'm robbing BBC Studios only paying 36 quid for them!

Leisure Hive replacement disc just arrived. Mine too; although it was so long ago I cant actually remember what the problem with it was. (In fact, I think I only asked for one because someone here pointed out that there was an issue.)
