Very comprehensive set of features there. Surprised and a little disappointed at the lack of deleted scenes. If a series could’ve done with them, it’s this one.

The steelbook artwork isn't bad - just wish it had Fifteen and Ruby on the front with the enemies on the back cover.
I was doubtful initially that an 8 episode season needed 7 discs (Series 1 was 6 discs back in the day and that had 13 eps!) but to be fair it's packed to the brim with special features - pleasantly surprised that they've even included the Pyramids omnibus too.

I fully expect to have to wait two or three years before this is released for the US, but do you think it is likely to be the same or will we be forever unable to see unleashed and tales from the tardis?

They may put the new footage on the current season's DVD. I also think there's official clips on youtube of intros/outros, but as for the edited down serials I kind of doubt it.
Like we may eventually get Daleks in Color if the rights issues regarding An Unearthly Child can be resolved and I suspect the same for the updated Pyramids of Mars for the current season, but I don't think the others will get the same treatment as you can watch the full versions elsewhere.

You can get Daleks In Colour in the US, it's been out since March. There's no reason at all Pyramids couldn't come out but...they're not going to ask people in the US to pay $20 or so when it's a bonus feature in the UK. More likely the whole set will be replicated when the Disney exclusivity period ends. So there's no reason, to answer Idle, that the set when it does come out in 2 years or so would be any different. They could, of course, just wait and do a complete Ncuti years set if they assume too many will import the season sets in the meantime. Who is only a big physical sales market in the UK, so all imports now are sales lost when it does come out. Of course the alternative is asking fans to wait YEARS to support domestic releases that we can be 90% sure will happen, but not 100%. As for the other Tales Of The Tardis eps, they could be released without issue if there's a will. No Disney cash went into them so they wouldn't need to be UK only. As of now it's only the 60th Anniversary eps, Season One with Ncuti (and coming seasons) and any spinoffs made with D+ aid that would be precluded from overseas release.

This does match the Alice Xhang ones - S9 and S10 had Capaldi on front, Bill and CLara on back. I like it. They could have completely altered the design - like that awful S11 one that's the only not in the same art style as all the rest from Eccleston to Ncuti.

Yep! Among the many extras we've come almost to expect from these wonderful releases, one of my favourites Behind The Sofa features (among many others) Dame Sheila Hancock, no less. Happiness will prevail!

Even though its my comfort Era when the Collection started did anyone think 7th Doc would be the 1st run completed?

Well I certainly didn't, I was certain the next box set would be a Troughton one for a change. I don't mind it though, season 25 is really good. Any bets on which run will be completed next ? Season 21 would end both Davison's and Colin's runs.

Season 21 would end both Davison's and Colin's runs. Funnily enough, I was convinced the next collection would be from The Second Doctor too. But I'm delighted with this. I remember watching it originally on a tiny portable black-and-white TV. Can't wait to dive in once again.

You remove the first four Doctors out of the equation due to either complexity or sheer volume, leaving you with the remaining three. There’s classics in each of Davison’s seasons, meaning some would be held back towards the end of the range, likely S21 due to Caves of Androzani. That then leaves Colin being unable to complete, making Sylv the only real candidate. I was expecting Season 6 to be the next release so we had representation from every Doctor before one was finished, but would’ve hedged my bets on Season 25 coming immediately after.

I understand how you feel, I was initially about to start rewatching the Seventh Doctor era really soon but might as well wait for the season 25 set in october now.

Disappointing that they've paused the special trailers, but using the 25th Anniversary trailer as a frame instead makes sense.
