Since we've already had Colin's final adventure using one of his exisiting themes, I'm struggling to see any need - at all - for this. At least Sylv's VNA theme made sense as the novels are almost an elseworlds thing. Likewise McGann's Mary Shelley theme being closer to the TV Movie, reflecting him being much closer to that film than his adventures with Lucie or Charley were. Just seems a rather redundant use of resources. The side steps label has been retired, though. The Novel Adapations aren't really anywhere near Elseworlds territory. I'm not being literal, obviously but even if I were, that's not what we're actually talking about anyway, is it? Rather saying that BF clearly - if the VNA range continued - wanted them to be their own thing, theme tune et al distinguishable from the average 7th Doc release. Meanwhile Colin's stories are of one piece, one much clearer continuity. And since we've had the end of Colin's era already - with the theme we already know - what does giving Sixie a new theme add to anything? Maybe a few years ago there might have been a case to make post-Mel stories with a new theme, or stories later in his timeline but now it would seem like just doing something for the sake of it adding nothing. On the list of things I can imagine BF wanting to do sooner or later, I wouldn't think this even features near the bottom of the list.

I'm not really pushing for this that much, it's just I'm in the middle of Christmas stuff and didn't express myself clearly.

I don't think there's a *need* for one but I certainly would be against the idea, although I'd hope that any version would sound like it could have been produced in the 80s. A few years ago - and I can't remember where - I came across an edit of the Terror Version which had been sliced to opening and closing theme lengths. It worked rather well as I recall. I could see that as the theme for, say, a self-contained, themed Sixie box-set or something like that. Thanks for taking the time and adding your thoughts, Ian
