Random theory: it's now 3rd May. Maybe the reason for the delay has to do with the new range reveal I have been hearing about the last 2 days? "Babylon 5"? Fingers crossed!

Interestingly, UFO is already in limbo after the two sets made due to vague licensing issues as per the letters page.

...Octobers 3DA Boxset Title Intelligence for War... Ooooh...speculation time! Are we getting a cold war sci fi follow up to last year's Kaleidoscope? UNIT vs the SSRG? The threat of World War III using alien tech from the Black Archive and the Tunguska Colllective? The Doctor and Sarah Jane discovering the identity of the mysterious and still very active Tajna, who has been busy manipulating events behind the scenes? (wild speculation - the Dhawan Master did have time to kill between 1943 and 2020...) Or... Is it wishful thinking on my part and Intelligence for War is going to be nothing more than a play on words and the villain of the piece won't be the SSRG...but The Great Intelligence, keen for not only a rematch against the Doctor following the failed Invasion of London...but revenge against Earth after the humiliating defeat at the hands of the New Counter Measures team during their series two boxset? Hoping for something akin to the former rather than the latter...but suspect it'll probably be neither. Still fun guessing though...

Not the most enlightening of titles, but that tends to be the way for the Gallifrey range. Interestingly not a complete no in response to Raine. Maybe they’ve finally smoothed things over with Cartmel.

Without even the merest hint of perspective, disaster of disasters!
My world is ending.
My life is pointless.
“Get a grip”, you all say.
“I’ll tell you for why”, I wail mishearingly.
My lovely, nay, precious, (arguably priceless?*) complete collection of printed Vortexes… Vortices?… is now… gappy!
And worthless!**
Both orders I received from BF in May included the April issue. Was expecting/hoping the May issue would be in with an early June delivery but didn’t receive first of those till near the end of the month so it included the June issue.
I sent a request to BF to see if they could include the May issue in my next order. That has arrived today with a note saying… wipes away tears… , saying they’re out of May issues. So I got another June one.
Anyone by any chance got a spare May issue (no 171) they’d be willing to send? I’d cover postage.
Or I have lots of duplicates of other months if anyone fancies a swap?
Yours bereftedly, Andrew
*more realistic value of 171 of 172 issues… a tenner, maybe?
** or worth a tenner

It's the 21st of the month and I still haven't gotten around to reading this months magazine. Considering everything that you have going on in your life right now, I think you're allowed to cut yourself a bit of slack over not reading Vortex yet. That said, if you need someone to tut disapprovingly I'm always happy to oblige...😋

Conspicuous by its absence is Gallifrey War Room 2. Still know nothing about it save its title and that it’s slated for release in September.

Yes the letters were interesting
With Jacob Dudman going nothing planned for the 12th Doc in terms of actual Appearances
As per the recent Podcast Alex Kingston will remain working with BF
And again stating the full cost increase of CDs still hasn't been past on.
