I think Nick Briggs has learnt from the second series of Charlotte Pollard. I don't think there is going to be a delay. Not to mention Jekyll and Hyde. I think 100 bucks is a absurd bargain for that amount of original and varied material. I agree with Michael, we should all be supporting Big Finish in this even if it is just one series. Also: the second series of Charlotte Pollard was delayed for a number of reasons, mainly Big Finish getting their Doctor Who licencise expanded to cover the revival series and India Fisher's (and the rest of the cast availability, leading to the recast of Rogue Viryan) availability. Jekyll and Hyde never had a set release date (changing from the standard placeholder to TBA very quickly) and it's very likely that the Big Finish Originals ranges has shifted it's release again. Also, given how Big Finish is forced to book actors due to the demands of audio drama - agents generally prefer to pirtorise clients longer jobs (a Big Finish recording is usually two to three days) and bookings are generally tentative leaving their clients open for bigger opportunties - and Nick Briggs most likely wants his production to feature the original cast to make it as authentic as possible to the stage performance.

Actually Jekyll & Hyde sat in a December 2017 release spot for the better part of a year and only got moved off when a listener email caused Nick to look at the web site and see it was still sitting there due for release a month or so later. Then it got moved to a TBA slot. I don't know that Nick will be using his original stage cast. It would seem to me that it would probably get a more high profile cast to help sales. And yes, I know how sometimes things get moved or shifted. Nick is a busy guy and I know Doctor Who is their bread & butter. I'm not pointing a finger at Nick at all.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to imply that you were - I know a lot of people were frustrated about the Charley Pollard delays and just wanted to clarify. I do remember Jekyll and Hyde shifting to TBA early on, but now, that I think about it, it did shift back to the placeholder date. Thanks for correcting me

At the risk of throwing another Big Finish original production into the mix, BBC Radio Wales have released details of the comedy drama I've written and directed with Jay Harley which transmits next week (and will be available on iPlayer): Long Way From Home, starring Alexandria Riley, Kai Owen, Laura Singleton and Justin Davies. More info here: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09pv7l1

To whatever extent we can, at least - my wallet's already trying to hide from me like it's Worlds of Big Finish Week and it's only Monday, but Big Finish has obviously gone to some trouble to make these audios things they can be proud of and I'm only too happy if I can support them in that. Having just fit the set into my budget with a mallet, I get to hear all of it for the absurdly low price of about $3/hour, but if I'd had to get a few individually, most aren't more than a few dollars above an individual MR release. However much of it isn't necessarily my cup of tea, or even my worries that I might never get around to hearing some of them, really aren't the most important parts of the equation for me for this particular opportunity.

I'm about 50/50 on first read-through of the synopses - with this much variety there will be something for everyone and while I'm sure the quality will be the usual BF high standard throughout, there are some which simply leap out at me as 100% definite buys. And take a good close look at the pricing everyone - there are phenomenal bargains on offer. In listed order I'm already certain to buy: ... From there you might as well reach just a little bit further and get the whole set (or at least that's what I told myself right before I threw the whole bundle in the cart) :-) I know, I did the maths too and it is temptingly easy to just buy the lot! But there are a couple of them I really don't feel so interested in, and buying individually I can spread the cost through the year. Among all the other BF spending! And I've already got BF spendiing plans for this month...

First of all, kudos to Big Finish for taking a leap of faith with the Originals range in their anniversary year, especially with a catalogue dominated by..well, you know who. While yesterday's announcement caught my attention and all seven titles roused my curiosity (the prospect of a masterclass in scene stealing from Celia Imrie and David Warner..), I need just a bit more detail before I start to factor the new range into my BF budget for the year (It's true, I have to budget for Big Finish now. Completely their fault mind you, with their quality productions and reasonable prices..). Hopefully then we are not too far away from the lure of trailers dropping on the website for at least ATA Girl, Cicero and Jeremiah Bourne. Or better yet a fifteen minute teaser on the podcast over consecutive weeks. I've seen the bait Big Finish. Please don't leave it too long to reel me in!

I’m confused. Thinking if I should get the bundle or pick up individually on a need-to-listen basis..

My problem is I'm not sure I want all the releases enough to get the bundle. I am not really interested in yet another piece of writing/creation from Louis Jameson (for me her writings is amougst the worst stuff) and with the subject matter holding no interest Rest quite excited about, so the bundle is worth getting now it’s still gonna be a box set saving......and I may be plesently surprised with the one I am not sure of. but it if you think you might get 4 it’s worth taking a punt I would say.

£99 is a wonderful bargain for this bundle,if you decide or can afford to shell out all that money in one go.My strategy is to buy them by degrees, for instance yesterday I pre-ordered "Ravenous 1" and "ATA Girl",and will continue to buy them periodicaly when I am making other pre-orders.I know it will cost me more in the long-run,but thats my mind made up.All seven of these stories have appeal for me,UNFORTUNATELY!!!! and they have blown my original future pre-order plans to smithereens!!!!

I just noticed that Cicero Series One actually includes the pilot as episode 1.
Also, the running time does not take the 50 minutes of interviews into account. If this was not a download-only release, that would mean 10 minutes per episode, included at the end of each disc. (Because the running time is always discs * 60, regardless of actual running time, it would not be its own disc.) Previously, download-only stories always showed the actual running time, but these are not single-story releases. What does this all mean?
Finally, thank you Big Finish for including the recording dates for each!
