Hey everyone,
I wonder why Lieutenant Scott hasn't been featured in a Big Finish release before? Given his involvement, he seems ready made to return in a Five/Nyssa tale or a tale expounding upon Tegan's decision to leave the TARDIS?

That sounds like a great idea Michael. Have you e-mailed Big Finish about it? They might like that idea. I would like Scott to return to 'Doctor Who' in Big Finish. He was very good in 'Earthshock' and I would love to hear him in an audio whether it's with Five/Nyssa or Five/Nyssa/Tegan. James Warwick has done some voice work for 'Star Wars' things include video game and cartoon series - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Warwick_(actor). So I don't see why he shouldn't return to 'Doctor Who' in Big Finish. Great idea! Tim.

I thought that it was odd that Scott and co weren't followed up on because they left the freighter after it had started traveling back in time, meaning that even if their escape pod makes it to Earth that they'll be in the wrong era. It sounds like something that the Doctor needs to sort out.

Following up on characters and plot threads like this is something Big Finish really excels at, too.

I assumed five would pick them up and given his problems reaching Heathrow they could have ended up anywhere. Alternatively I thought Scott and his squad (OK, his replacement squad) would become a space age UNIT.

How about a trilogy where the Fifth Doctor travels with Todd from Kinda? Nerys Hughes is still around, and was even in a Torchwood TV story. She certainly had more chemistry with Peter than Matthew and Janet did during Kinda. It could also mean a return of Simon Rouse's Hindle, a man rediscovering himself after a bout of madness (you can't mend people!).

That's rather implicit, isn't it? It's not like he said "No one will disagree with me when I say that Nerys Hughes had more chemistry with Peter Davison in Kinda than his co-stars did."

I know that was what was meant, and it.can be amusing how annoyed people can get over opinion being presented as fact, but it's not like the response was flaming him, it was just someone making it clear it wasn't a universal opinion. Anyway hindle was so deliciously bonkers, he could be great on audio

Oh my gosh, I just relised this is DU , I thought I was on Gallifrey Base given the interactions I was reading (I use tap-a-talk and it hard to tell forums apart, especially once you're in a thread). apologies everyone, that just wasn't DU behaviour.

It's just a personal opinion, and you're welcome to think whatever you do think of the subject matter.

Anyway hindle was so deliciously bonkers, he could be great on audio Simon Rouse played the Witch Pricker in the 2011 Eighth Doctor story The Witch from the Well, so he'd worked with Big Finish before.
