Today I learned that you can call for an Uber or a Lyft without an app. I searched for this information because the taxi company my spouse has relied on for years to get him to the airport appears to have disconnected their phone number. Seems they've finally been beaten by the apps.  My spouse has a work smartphone, but he can't install apps because he doesn't know the password to the account on the phone. I told him he needs to call his IT guy at work and get it already.

I mean, I could bring up the common joke of British properties being remade for American audiences but I don’t really understand how you can remake an anthology series?

Personally, I’m just wondering who the trans Atlantic equivalent of Shearsmith and Pemberton would be.
