I am sure that Big Finish already have plans to celebrate the monthly range running for 20 years in 2019.
I am assuming it will be like what Big Finish did for Zagreus at 50 back in 2003 with an event release for 260 (which would explain why it is not up for pre-order as yet, with the monthly range currently ending at release 259) the trilogy would therefore be...
257 October 2019 258 November 2019 259 December 2019
So I am hoping for a celebration of what has gone before. Their own companions and their own villains.
My trilogy would be...
Fifth Doctor with the Tracer Twins The Key 2 Time is still one of my favourite monthly range trilogies and I would like to hear the Doctor collecting Amy from the academy for a day trip, but of course he has an ulterior motive...Zara is causing trouble again.
Sixth Doctor with Flip A meeting with Doctor Knox played by Barnaby Edwards is very much overdue. It would also allow plenty of reference to their earlier encounters and with the much missed Evelyn as played by Maggie Stables. Perhaps even a story where the Doctor crosses his own timeline, Trouble with Tribbles style. And through the wonders of audio could Evelyn actual meet Flip!?
Seventh Doctor with Sally Morgan He didn’t get to have enough adventures with her. For me the greatest monster Big Finish have given us is The Eminence. The Seventh Doctor met them in their prime is long overdue.
That is what I would commission, if I could, but what would you like to see in a 20th anniversary trilogy?

That sounds pretty good though it would be even sweeter if it was a quadtrilogy and featured eight with mary, maybes as a leaving story just to give a definitive ending to her story. Or an 8 and charley story either set in thier travels or after.

I thought it was a shame they didn’t do something like that with her Companion Chronicle and The Last Adventure. Could have told the story a different way, full cast with the Valeyard literally complicating things. As for the Anniversary, Sirens was released in July so no.253 would mark 20 years. Just a few after the big 250. Perhaps have a trilogy start 250-252, then tie it up with a multi Doctor in July.

Also Evelyn did meet Flip didn’t she? Or did they just not have any scenes together in The Crimes of Thomas Brewster?

Something that clearly states the Doctor is the valued/vital part of the universe and not something like the disrespectful to the character mess that is Zagerus

Of course she did! To be honest my original choice for old Sixy was with Charley, but I changed it at the last moment.* *I still hope that Big Finish will re-release the original Charley and Eighth Doctor adventures along with some new “missing” stories for their own 20th anniversary.

I think I've mentioned this before but I'd love for the 20th to be structured like a comic book crossover event with a mini or maxi series featuring as many Doctors & companions as Big Finish can provide with the Main Range releases spinning into and out of the mini/maxi series.

Big Finish always aim to be approachable to new listeners, though -I'd imagine any event would be confined to a boxset. Even connected releases like The Master triolgey are still fairly loose and ongoing plot elements are quickly summarised for new listeners.

Ah, well, there you go, I was missing something. I don't even recall that. Funnily enough, I even checked on TARDIS wikia before I posted, but they didn't mention anything under that story relating to that happening either, so at least I'm not alone in my bad memory.

I'm just saying it is the 20th anniversary, let's do something that encompasses everything Doctor Who related at Big Finish.

I think we're going to get something along those lines with the Main Range and other releases, similar to the fiftieth anniversary releases, on top of a box set release.

I'd like something a bit like The Worlds of Doctor Who combined with a multi-Doctor story like The Light at the End with different Drs, companions & characters meetinng to solve a huge time-spanning mystery.

I like this idea and could be used to explain how they got to the start of Graceless
