One thing I do note...they're only concentrating on the top 10% of results. After Colin's very ugly and very public spat with DWM over shaming lower-performers in polls, BF haven't taken any chances here! They always said they would though and parentage wise Colin's done more anyway.
The interesting indication for me though is that the list is mainly made up of permanent £2.99 DLs or ones that have their 1st EP DL available for free, if I was using this as marketing tool it would give an idea. Release more free 1st EPs, take the risk of torrents, and possibly get more full price sales, OR reduce the Sub price again. especially as BF no longer physically print Writers Notes.

Well exactly. The more qualified you are to speak on BF's 200 releases, the less incentive to participate. The person who has only bought and heard one CD would get the benefit, but why would that person's vote add anything valid to the results? I kinda wondered the same thing, I own all of the releases in question, if I won... yeah... no benefit. Maybe something like 200.00 GPB worth of credit to the winner would have made more sense. And that would still be going with the 200 theme.

I was thinking of general titles (except for the Prisoner lol). Or they could have offered a 6 month sub (altho' again lots of people who are already up to date on the MR would have that covered). Cheers Tony

A Big Finish voucher for the winner to buy what they want would have been a better prize for sure, so as I don't need the prize I am not going to waste my time on their survey.

£2750 in BF stuff would be a very worthwhile prize indeed, £200 ... well for me, I normally spend more than that every time I order...

I echo some of the sentiments listed above, whilst the prize is certainly enormous and wonderful, I'm not sure how much of a reward it will be to the winner, the fans best placed and most deserving to enter the competition are probably those who have already listened to/purchased the majority of the stories anyway. I thought it was interesting that you didn't need a direct account with Big Finish to win, a prize draw is naturally quite a random thing, but a part of me thinks they should take into the winner's purchasing history before they decide a winner...you never know, the winner may have only listened to one or two audios! That's not to say I'm not extremely excited or massively humbled by the gesture-I've purchased around 50ish of the monthly range so far, and entered the competition anyway as the prize is too exciting and generous to turn down the chance of winning (The Chimes of Midnight got my vote), but I'm a relative newcomer to Big Finish, and a somewhat selective customer in comparison to some of the regulars, so a part of me feels I'd be cheating other, more deserving customers out of the prize if I won. I wonder if they are using the results to gauge market research of sorts on the highs/lows of the main range? In anycase this is an amazing, very, very, very generous by Big Finish and I and wish nothing but good luck to the winner whoever he or she may be...

I was disappointed that you could only vote for one title. I was expecting a first, second and third place choice to give the most balanced result.
As others have stated this isn't about Big Finish wanting to know what their fans think are the best releases it is simply a marketing stunt.
I'm not really complaining as it is interesting, but ultimately irrelevant which release will be voted "the best".
I voted a couple of hours ago and I can't remember what story I finally chose...
Hopefully that is not just my age, but an indication of how hard I found it to simply choose the one.

lol, I wouldn't refuse it, but when a CD release costs £14.99 then for me £200 doesn't seem to translate in an "awful lot".

I have all 200, but so far I've only heard 8 out of the 15 in that list. Originally I was thinking like everyone else here, that there wasn't much point in winning what I already bought... and then I realised this would be the perfect opportunity for me to gift these out to friends guilt free. So I entered anyway.

I voted but did not enter (as I have them all in CD, cassette, or download form already ... though still a lot to listen to [including 4 on the list])
6 of my 20 votes from round 1 in July/August made it through

Some of the early stories were also released on cassette tape, as were some of the early Benny stories. There are mail order forms in the back page of the BBC Eighth and Past Doctor Adventures that were published at the time.
