Hello again.
Oh dear. Tv adaptations are never how you picture them of you have read the book. The trailer does this no favours it's too jerky. Vimes doesn't seem right to me. I loved Good Omens, a great adaptation, Tennant and Sheen were wonderful and it was the must watch of the week for me. I will give it a go, as I loved the book. I hope it's better than the trailer. Thanks for posting Timegirl.

Thanks for posting Timegirl. Same here! Good Omens was brilliant! I here they might make a second season! Which I am it two minds of🤔 But if they do have second season I hope they include even more DW actors!(Would love it if Peter Capaldi and Michelle Gomez played angels and demons!) I will try the first episode of the Watch though just to see🤔

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

youtu.be/ymQMJDmhu70The Watch Trailer Oh dear god what have they done to poor Terry Pratchett’s work?! This looks horrible! I hold no great hopes for this adaptation (Good Omens had some of the “voice“ of the authors, which many Pratchett adaptations get wrong by ignoring) but the trailer looks to be branching out into its own thing which might be interesting in its own right. Vimes looks to be a completely different character from the books, as do so many other characters so hopefully we get something that is at least new and interesting, but the look of it seems to be highlighting the comedy and downplaying the dramatic parts which can be fatal for comedies with serious plots.

Bryan Talbot discussing his groundbreaking comic book The Tale of One Bad Rat (the comic book does deal with themes of child abuse so you are aware).

youtu.be/jMqLY579kWULast Christmas:Council of geeks Take Two Doctor Who Review I agree with almost everything in this review on the episode but I am so tired of always hearing that the ending of this episode is bad and tacked on and it should have ended with Clara being old. I would love to hear more appreciation for the ending that they do give us because I believe that the ending they gave us was absolutely beautiful and uplifting and magical.

A friend recommended Charity Shop Sue to me. I'd never seen her before, never heard of her. Now I can't stop watching her! A kind of cross between Ricky Gervais and Catherine Tate, but with plenty of identity of its own. Sue starts off as being fairly ... eccentric, and as the episodes roll on becomes truly monstrous!

Been watching a lot of Mr Nightmare lately. It primarily consists of narrated horror stories which have been submitted by viewers. They’re all supposedly ‘true’ stories. Although we must remember that the term ‘true stories’ is a very subjective term. Still, decent enough listening for the Halloween season I suppose. m.youtube.com/channel/UCnM02drQP-dF7WMgtJHR4Xw

Thanks for the recommendation davros1! Just watching a few of these and my god is she a loathsome character. Much like most great comedic creations, I’m sure we’ve all known a few Sues in our time.

Just started this series last night, it’s rather fascinatingly awkward! 😁I can’t believe there has not been a mockumentary in a charity shop before!

If you're anything like me, you might well go back top the start once you've finished the series! There are lots of little moments and briefly seen characters in those early episodes that have a bigger part to play later on. There's a scene where an elderly man brings in some of his late wife's porcelain figurines - you might find yourself watching from behind your fingers!
