Bambera is in the New Adventure Head Games and the Lost Story Animal, but I take your point. She could guest star in a UNIT box set that brings the various stages of UNIT together. The Brig appears in the Sarah Jane Adventures story Enemy of the Bane. "Completely ignoring" may have been a bit of hyperbole, but two stories isn't very much for a character clearly intended as the new Brigadier. I had forgotten Enemy of the Bane. Well, Bambera was introduced in the final season of 20th century Doctor Who. after that we got stuff that didn’t need to account for actor’s ages, if the series didn’t go on hiatus I expect we would have seen more of her. as for “Enemy of the Bane”, it was a fitting enough final outing for him although the most fitting tribute to the character is from the narrator of the interludes in the novelisation of “Day of the Doctor” who says “sorry I got distracted thinking about old Lethbridge-Stewart, this happens from time to time because I like smiling”.

Both silly, IMO.
Poor McCoy. I liked him as the Doctor on TV, I just I do not much like most of his TV episodes. I think BF gave him scripts that are so very much better. The show really did start to go off the deep end in terms of scripts even with Colin, but as with McCoy, I liked Colin's Doctor. I just didn't like the material as much.

Do people not like Battlefield? (Excepting of course those who don't like the McCoy years in general...) I mean it might be the weakest that season but I still enjoyed it immensely. The Brig is obviously a large part of that - all five of his post-Pertwee performances elevate the serials they're in - but there's plenty to like in Battlefield. For instance, "Here. You can be the King of England."
Silver Nemesis is... fine? I dunno, I barely remember it other than "Nazis, Cybermen, Peinforte, Fenric, slingshot" and Fenric's not even in it.

I do like both of them but Battlefield is more cohesive while Silver Nemesis needed a couple more draft passes

The only points where Battlefield failed for me were:
(1) the switch the BBC made to stereo audio recording for this season meant that the sound didn't play well if you had the wrong sort of television and an older mono sound system. This affected the entire season, but the result was particularly bad for this story. I found that, even watching the video recording I made multiple times, dialogue was very hard to follow.
(2) They wimped out of the original plan for the ending, which undermined that aspect of the story.
By contrast, there are very few points of Silver Nemesis that worked for me, with so many bizarre failures, that there is no comparison in my mind. The Elizabethan characters were very interesting, and I like that their dialogue was originally written in iambic pentameter to give their dialogue additional antiquity. The optical effects used were exceptional, and the implication that there were other events from a past (or future?) story involving the Doctor and some of the characters was intriguing. But the Cybermen in this story were rubbish, the script made no sense, and JNT forced a cameo for the sake of having a cameo.
So I think Battlefield is the hands-down better story.

Battlefield is miiiiiiiles better than Silver Nemesis. Nick Courtney and Jean Marsh elevate it massively even if Sylv and Sophie struggle. The "THERE. WILL. BE....." line always makes me cringe.

Neither are very good. I always think Battlefield is the better of the two but whenever I see either I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying the nonsense that is Silver Nemesis and surprised how poor Battlefield is.

Well intended as the new Brigadier fictionally but never really intended as a new ongoing guest lead.
