Sadly Michael while i agree with you, Hollywood gets a whiff of a potential money spinner they'll milk it for all it's worth.
If there is a sequel it needs to keep the same cast, writer & director.

The writers are actually open to coming back, though. But, for me, it's perfect the way it is and any expansion would be gratious. I'd rather see something different from the same team.

Since they've already spoken about what they'd do I wouldn't mind seeing one Eh, I'd rather they left it alone, although this is Hollywood and it's hell to make anything. If it gives the creators a jumping point onto something else, more power to them.

The best sequels go in a different direction. Aliens is an action horror as opposed to a survival horror. T2 Judgement Day puts the Connors on the offensive. The Winter Soldier was an espionage thriller. Thor Ragnarok was in glorious technicolor. Don’t just rehash the original, do something new or different.
