...elements incorporated into upcoming BF projects? And what would you like to hear? Nardole making an appearance in The Diary Of River Song perhaps? Missy facing off against UNIT? The Zygon subplot coming back to haunt Osgood? Further expansion on Trap Street and Ashildr's history, or perhaps a Gallifrey series set post Hell Bent?
Although Capaldi has expressed interest in doing BF audios, I think it will be a few more years before he returns to the role, after exploring other characters and taking a well deserved break from the hectic schedule/exposure of Who, but perhaps we might hear a 12th Doctor chronicles set sooner rather than later? I'd love to hear Frank Skinner return as Perkins...

There were rumours about Missy not so long ago, so perhaps she will be the first direct link.
It'd be logical for UNIT to touch on the Zygon status quo, given that affected Osgood directly and she's one of the main characters. Nardole in Diary of River Song set prior to Husbands of River Song would work.

I'd love to hear Frank Skinner return as Perkins... I think we'll probably get The Twelfth Doctor Chronicles, as you say, sooner then later and we'll get news after series eleven has had it's run. We know the upcoming UNIT box set is post-Death in Heaven, so we're already heading into the era in same capacity. I imagine we'll probably hear big news about Big Finish venturing into the era early next year. Michelle Gomez is probably not going to return as Missy for quite awhile yet, as she has a role in an American TV series and will probably be moving onto other roles for the time being. Expanding upon The Zygon refugees would be a nice way to expand the era in the meantime, although The Zygon Invasion/The Zygon Inversion has said it's piece. Maybe we'll see Zygon refugees joining UNIT as the ultimate espionage agents? (Or some just being refugees from the Time War and despite their shapeshifting abilities, being bumbling spies?) |

It sounds like we’ve got Missy material recorded and awaiting release already, so that’s a venture into the era already.
Most of the River Song stuff has been set after Husbands of River Song, so I suppose they’ve touched upon it slightly. I don’t think it’ll be too long before Nardole makes an appearance in the range though, which will obviously be more explicitly the Twelfth Doctor era.
It’s already been said, but we’re heading into post-Death in Heaven territory with UNIT Cyber Reality. It’s a shame they’ve skipped the gap between The Day of the Doctor and Dark Water for the time being, as there’s lots of Zygon stuff that could be done there.

I'm sure I'd be quite contented to hear Nardole in River Song stories or Zygons in UNIT stories, and I suppose I can also look forward to Big Finish typically improving the character if they choose to do stories with Missy, so I'd probably be in for that too.

Michelle Gomez is probably not going to return as Missy for quite awhile yet, as she has a role in an American TV series and will probably be moving onto other roles for the time being. You might have missed it: Michelle Gomez revealed at a convention in the US recently that Missy will meet River Song in a Big Finish audio. (As yet unannounced.) Michelle said Missy meets River Song and “rips her a new one”. This is obviously not confirmed by BF, but if Michelle Gomez has said that she's recorded audios as Missy, she's probably not going to be lying. So something involving Missy is in the can. |

We don't know, though. She might be doing a final lap for the fans and then move on to something else before reprising the role across a couple of releases or box set. We don't know, but you don't use that exposure for nothing.
