I think I heard that the Fourth Doctor turned up at one of his birthday parties when he was a child or something, and then later met the Third Doctor in Egypt later, but I don’t think he knew who he was until later, and his first proper meeting is with the Sixth Doctor in Players. I think... Those were in the Brilliant Book 2011, the Book also depicted Churchill meeting the first Doctor. In that encounter Churchill approached him after seeing the TARDIS land, recognising it from his previous meetings with the Doctor. Those meetings obviously hadn't happened yet to the Doctor who walked away shortly after. So from the Doctor's perspective that was their first meeting. From Churchill's perspective, according to the Brilliant Book the fourth Doctor was an entertainer at one of his birthday parties as a child.

The recent First Doctor BBC Audio, Men of War, hints at the Doctor having met Winston Churchill. That features the Doctor, Steven & Sara and I guess is intended to go alongside the mini-season of audios Big Finish have done with that team, whilst not explicitly mentioning them.

I would certainly like Big Finish to release a full cast Churchill and the Doctors boxset with Doctors Four through to Seven.

I would certainly like Big Finish to release a full cast Churchill and the Doctors boxset with Doctors Four through to Seven. "Classic Doctors, Classic Churchill" yes please! So far we've had one story in 1890s Cuba and London, one in retirement, one in Roman times and five set during WWII - which is understandable, it's his defining-est hour! But Churchill's political career spanned over 60 years; they could do a great set and not mention WWII once.
The Great Escape - during the Boer War in South Africa, he was 'a journalist' but fought, was captured, escaped and made an amazing hundred mile journey back to the British lines. Maybe he had help we don't know about, help with a long scarf...
The Home (Office) Front - as Home Secretary, dealing with Bolshevik/Anti-Bolshevik factions fighting it out in Edwardian London - but perhaps one of those feuds was between rival groups from much further away... and a cricket-loving Doctor working for peace...
The Western Front - he served for six months 'in the trenches' during WWI. Maybe a pure historical or with alien involvement, there must be a story to tell somewhere, perhaps with spies, space-travellers and Sixie on the Western Front.
The Wilderness Years - in the 1930s he was (now famously) the loudest voice calling for rearmament and opposing the rise of the Nazis. Was this simply political insight - or did he somehow know this one critical part of his future - and ours...? Did a particularly devious Doctor decide to break the Laws of Time in the best of causes and give History a nudge, just this once....
I'm sure BF's great writers could come up with far better ideas, but whatever the settings, I'd pre-order a Classics+Churchill set instantly!

I'd really like a full-on historical with Churchill and the First Doctor. Something totally in keeping with that Doctor's era, perhaps picking something from Churchill's time in India or Sudan.

his first proper meeting is with the Sixth Doctor in Players. I think... In "Players" he meets the sixth Doctor in the Boer War, then the second Doctor during WW1, then the sixth Doctor again during the Abdication Crisis; and the sixth Doctor briefly in WW2 during "The Shadow of the Glass" - however, I don't think these two books necessarily fit awfully well with "Victory of the Daleks" continuity.

As Churchill was quite close to David Lloyd George before, during, and after WWI, I think it would be wonderful to hear them interact, as this year marks 100 years of Armistice. Perhaps The Churchill Years, The Tenth Doctor Adventures, or even Short Trips? I wonder who would make a good impression of Lloyd George? Maybe I should write about them together. Well, actually, I do have some story ideas in mind...

Having done far too much thinking about this (when I really should have been working - so if I'm late with this writing job I'm blaming you lot) I actually have a story worked out. It works for either First or Second Doctor (actually, with tweakage it could feel right for any of the first four Doctors) and is set during Churchill's time as MP in Dundee. It's called The Nine Maidens. Now that I've thought about it I can put it into the "just in case" folder. And if that "just in case" ever happens I shall have to thank you lot.

Featuring the Ninth Doctor, David Lloyd George, with Winston Churchill - and set on Armistice Day (11th November 1918). And yes, it will be published exactly 100 years after the very day itself; just a good few minutes after 11am.
