It would have to be more than one a week, otherwise this'd take over two-and-a-half years! (7 series x 13 episodes = 91 weeks; 3 series x 12 episodes = 36 weeks; 13 Christmas specials + 1 Anniversary special = 14 weeks; 91 + 36 + 14 = 141 weeks; 141/52 = 2.7 years And that's not accounting for the fact that we'll probably have at least two more series by then, pushing us over the three year mark )

True enough. I can't tell you how long it's taken me to get through new (I refuse to type "Nu" ) Who with my spouse, but it's been years since we started. Of course, we did have a several year diversion through selected classic episodes when we got to new Who series 7. I wanted him to get all the references in the 50th anniversary special. And now he will.

Rose - strange watching this without Graham Norton's intervention lol. Really hits the ground running & sets up the concept for new viewers. The tone maybe is uncertain & the music is especially bad. Feels like a kids show or an old sitcom at times. Of course it has dated quite a bit in terms of look, again I think this is an uncertainty with tone. But in retrospect this is a great opening episode, with instant chemistry between Dr Who & Rose, who is very much a real everyday girl.

That was first on when I was 5 years old and each time I watch it it's equally as fresh. Although it did make me absolutely petrified of shop dummies to this very day.
