I'm finding this all a little strange. I was 12 when The Eleventh Hour aired and I had no confusion over what Amy's job was - they explained it in the episode. I'm not trying to belittle anyone here (I realise it might seem that way, but I mean this more in a scientific sort of way), but I am just genuinely curious about how people misinterpreted the situation?

I guess it just depends on how well they paid attention. Or age (i was eight and, if my memory serves me right, for some time i thought she was a police women how naive was i) I do think its a fairly easy mistake to make. One line or so explaining her job that isnt brought up again throughout the series is pretty easy to misconstrue

I genuinely don’t know what a kissogram is. When I saw the episode, I was clueless as to what her job was (still am, until much later when she became a model) I just ignored that aspect of The Eleventh Hour as it wasn’t relevant to the story. I didn’t really take her explanation of the job description seriously. I thought she was joking, and didn’t take it serious enough to consider it an actual job.

I'm with you. "I go to parties and kiss people - it's a laugh". Plain enough!

It was a joke, folks. A silly joke. "I go to parties and kiss people - it's a laugh."
Not a stripper. Not a sex worker.
No offense to strippers and sex workers intended, but that's just not what was meant by the innocent words in the episode.
Can we put call it a day on this discussion now?
