I really want to get into the 4th Doctor Adventures but the sound of the first series doesn’t really pique my interest so I thought I’d do a little poll to find out what you lot think is the best series m:

Hah, is it good to ask this question while Tom's 7th is airing on Twitch? hah.
I would have voted for Uncle Tom's final 7th year regardless, but I'd rather think I would be in rare company. But I guess I'm not alone in my opinion!

I think the last 3 seasons have been the best - 5, 6 and 7. Loads of good one-offs in earlier seasons but there's been more consistency recently with no real lows. Tom's on marvellous form in Series 7.
If I had to choose one series, it'd be the 5th. Some fantastic stories and a much, much better use of David Warner's Cuthbert than Season 2.

You can't ask me that like asking who you favourite child is, i adore Tom Baker, i actually enjoyed series 5 a tiny bit more than the others, but I'm just happy that my favourite Doctor Who actor is back doing what he does best.......playing the Fourth Doctor.

Yeah, a tough question as Tom is on top form in most of them, but for strength of the series as a whole I voted for Series 7. I thought Series 7 was a consistently good listen from start to finish and is definitely the one that I enjoyed the most.

Not gonna vote 'cause I've only heard the first five (and I feel like I'm expecting big things from Series 7) - but Series 3 has a nice character arc for the Doctor and Leela and as mentioned Series 5 is quite consistently good.
Although my two favourite stories are in 1 & 4 so who knows!

The best series is whatever series I happen to be listing to at the time!
Currently I am revisiting the 1st series which something’s gets some negative reviews, but really every story is wonderful.
I guess every series has had their highes and not quite so highe, but still worth the price of admission..
But I have voted.
Tom and Lalla back together.
It has to be series 5

As noted earlier seasons could fluctuate between highs and lows while the past three seasons are much more consistent. If I had to pick one it would be series 6. Or series 7.

Haven't heard 7B yet, but I make the success rate of each series
Series 1: 2/6
Series 2: 3/7
Series 3: 3/8
Series 4: 4/8
Series 5: 3/8
Series 6: 5/9
Series 7A: 1/4

Really tough choice! I voted Series 2 because I think it has lots of interesting things to offer in addition to Mary Tamm, although I couldn't honestly say that I think the stories are better than Series 4-7 overall.

Toms my Doctor really , and am refusing to chose,my world is richer having more of him saying that all of the Doctors are wonderful.My favourite Tom Baker moment on Big Finish though is when in the two part DalekContract/Final Phase his speech to the Daleks to use their tiny minds is Tom at his Dramatic best

a very tough choice due to the varying quality of stories in each
1 was the first Big Finish I tried
2 had a wonderful selection
3 had a very good first half
4 had a wonderful middle
5 was where it became more consistantly good

All have their ups and downs, but generally good overall. Stories that feel like the Terrance Dicks novelisations I read as a child will always be my favourite and there are plenty of them in every season.

I've only heard the first three seasons in their entirety and have started on the fourth so I won't vote in the poll as not to mess with the numbers, but of the three I think that the third was my favorite. While it didn't quite go as high in quality as it could it was consistently good with only the finale really standing out as lackluster (being an example of Nicholas Briggs's flaws as a writer, only going on spectacle of a returning villain without a story).
