I'm surprised there's not a prior thread for this story.
Some of you may remember me saying that I wasn't particularly drawn in by the Sara Kingdom trilogy.
This story changed my mind. It really brought together Sara's whole story line in such an interesting way and provided a surprising conclusion to the trilogy. I never in a million years expected the character trade-off that takes place and the way that this ends for Sara and Robert.
Fantastic story, glad I stuck with this story series through to the end, in spite of my lesser enthusiasm for the preceding two stories in the trilogy, Home Truths and Drowned World. I'll have to go back one of these days and listen to all three in order, as well as some of the other related Sarah Kingdom stories.
Definitely recommend this. To this who feel the same lack of enthusiasm that I felt for the first two stories, I urge you to pay attention and stick it out. It's worth it.
