I actually got a bit of a jolt when I saw it. I don't think I've ever had a cover do that before. Same here. Honestly, I hope it’s not allegorical or “Gwen made up to look like the Fendahl Core” but rather “Gwen becomes the Fendahl Core” because thst’d be a brutal way to writevout her character, and totally fitting with how Torchwood has written out just about all the other characters - they died because they’re humans in a story that should involve an alien genius who could have saved them. I like you’re thinking but I do think that will likely not be the case as it is a. a monthly release and not a event story and b. I think that Big Finish will want to keep her story open, especially as it is currently in series 6.

Well, the Fendahl is intelligent and has already destroyed one planet, it could have learnt moderation. Maybe The Gwendahl hangs around, occasionally feeding off of Jack.

Evil should be alluring, it should be seductive - it should be sexy. Not much sexier than Eve Myles painted gold.

I’m sorry but how is nobody else very excited by the fact we’re getting a Boom Town prequel?

We've had post-Green Death Jo quite a few times - why has it taken this long to have Cliff as well?! (If he's playing Cliff... They're being rather coy about it...)

That'd be brilliant. I can't imagine anything creepier for Gwen's ultimate fate, particularly after Kaldor City. The Fendahl's modus operandi of playing the long game and subverting not only family lineages, but entire societies feels perfect for Torchwood.

Sargasso is a story for which I’ve been waiting to appear. Masses of plastic waste coalescing in the oceans? Of course it’s a target for the Nestene Consciousness. The question is: what form will be adopted? Personally I hope for some Krakenesque manifestation. Since no one has said it and im all about Random Cthulhlu Awaken

These 4 releases may be the only reason I consider the new season. For my taste there have been way too many side characters or even ones who never appeared in the series as the focus characters lately. Again, my opinion but the results have been mixed.
I love Torchwood One and Believe was very good but I want the main Torchwood cast in the monthly releases. So I may actually consider the new series or at least these 4 when I had planned not to. Again BF pulls me back in

Just a thought ... while Torchwood is more adult and uses bad language, I really don't want to hear Jo Jones using the F-word. That would feel like betraying a part of my childhood innocence Katy Manning is a ray of sunshine so I doubt she could say naughty words as she’s a cinnamon roll

The Margaret Slitheen and Nestene ones sound great, but I am wary overall, just because I like my Torchwood to be its own thing, rather than subordinate to the main show. We are Doctor Who fans Being Wary is a good thing and then it can always surprise us

Yes she is. 1 of THE best guests u could ever meet she is so energetic and a fantastic story teller. She was telling us at "Lords Of Time 3" about the fun she and Liza Minelli had as children, and other stuff with her mother who is sort of famous LOL.
She also said my bald head was so perfectly round and she kissed it LOL. She is barely 5 foot tall so it was hilarious

I met Katy when I was 10 or 11 and she burst into the room and said she was gasping for a ciggie and looked straight at me! My mum was aghast.

Barrowman going from monsters to critters - he's been announced as being in the new series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. I don't watch these shows but if anyone wants to see John on telly, he'll be on a lot over the next few weeks.

A thought occurs:
Why is this Torchwood vs Big Finish Monsters? surely it is Torchwood vs Dr Who Monsters?
surely BF monsters would be BF ceations such as the viryans, the Slithergee, the Eminence ?

Wonder why the Torchwood covers don't have the BBC logo on.

Maybe a member of Torchwood could have an encounter with a version of the Master. If they can use Margaret the Slitheen I don’t see why he/she couldn’t show up.
