The next issue of DWM is out in two editions. WHSmith will sell a special edition for a tenner, other outlets (and, apparently subscribers) will get the normal edition.
The special edition will have various odds and ends in it, but of most interest to us here including a random CD and four downloads from Big Finish and the BBC.
Now, depending on what the freebies are, the Special Edition might pay for itself even for subscribers going out begrudingly to buy a second copy of the same magazine - so, the big question is, can anybody recognise the titles from the illustrations on the cover?
The 'four downloads' is illustrated by three covers. All look to be in the recent style, but I don't recognise any of them.
The free CD is illustrated by five covers ('CD may differ from those in illustration') - "Destiny of the Doctor The Time Machine", "Fear of the Daleks", "The Invasion of E-Space", and two others.

The downloads are The Boundless Sea (The Diary of River Song Volume 1), Tidal Waves (UNIT: The New Series - Assembled) and the third one seems to be from The Eighth Doctor The Time War, but it doesn't seem to match any of the already released stories.

I think the Eighth Doctor one is The Starship of Theseus but in the new cover style with the new logo.

One is Ep 1 of Diary of River Vol 1, another one is EP 1 of 8th Doctor Time War Vol 1 and the 3rd something New Series UNIT?

The free CD is illustrated by five covers ('CD may differ from those in illustration') - "Destiny of the Doctor The Time Machine", "Fear of the Daleks", "The Invasion of E-Space", and two others. One of the two others (bottom left) is certainly 'Destiny of the Doctor 6 : Trouble in Paradise'
And I'm fairly sure the top left one is CC 'The Cold Equations'. (If so, it's a great story but it's the middle one of a trilogy, strange choice for a freebie.)
The New UNIT story is from UNIT:Assembled - 'Tidal Wave'. And it's brilliant. (Jo Grant and Osgood fan speaking but really, it is!)

OK, the fourth download was an audiobook of the novel "Human Nature" by Paul Cornell, accessible at www.audiobooks.co.uk. At first it looked like it wanted credit card details for a 'free trial', but as it transpired that wasn't necessary. Unfortunately, it only purports to be playable via an app or website, I'm still trying to work out if I can get it downloaded as mp3s for my iPod. The free CD must've come from Big Finish's warehouse clearance - it was an early Companion Chronicle that I got, in its plastic case, and thankfully one I've not heard.

I thought the downloads would all be the same, but apparently not! I got the BBC download for The Roundheads! Still, I’ve not heard it before so I’m equally as happy!

As for downloading it... it's a faff, but I installed the audiobooks.com app on my phone, downloaded the reading, found the mp3 file in my phone's file structure, and then copied that to my PC.
(My CD was Helicon Prime, incidentally. Currently on sale at bigfinish.com at £8.99 plus postage, compared to £9.99 for this magazine with all its gubbins. Can't complain!)

Ah, wonderful Third Doctor goodness with Katy!
And it's a story you can listen to again - and again, and again, and again, and... How many times around the deck was a mile?

Really trying to decide if it's worth getting the physical mag - I'm already a digital subscriber, and sadly past the point of having somewhere to put a poster up. Can you see what the CD inside the bag? The BBC downloads sound great - might be the convincer for me :-)
