Getting to see The Five Doctors on the big screen, the new fx were great. The on stage interview with Peter Davison, Janet Fielding & Sarah Sutton was brilliant!

glamadelaide.com.au/henry-winkler-the-fonz-coming-to-adelaide-on-national-tour/The Fonz is doing a spoken word/ Q & A / Book signing session- my home state of Adelaide included- Feb '24 He does have a lot of relatives that live here , he sneaks in and out the country at least 1-2 times a year. One of the Nicest guys ever- so severely dyslexic and not diagnosed till he was on "Happy Days", he ended up writing about 15 childrens books revolving around dyslexia. Very inspiring stories about growing up and fleeing Germany in the early 40's - very tragic story but uplifting ending.

I was sitting by myself in the basement kitchen at work on my lunch break as I do every day.. all of a sudden I get a video chat request from the awesome elkawho ! I am always down for a chat - comparing accents, so I took her on a mobile phone tour of my downstairs workplace while I went into "Steve Irwin Crocodile Hunter" mode - also had a quick chat with her daughter too Whilst talking, 1 of my work mates came down for his lunch- he is like 20-21 years old and just discovered Doctor Who, I have also lent him a few Big Finish cds too . He heard us 2 talking about "Dark Shadows" and how wonderful it is to have Chris Eccleston with BF. I have had multiple video conversations with 3 people on this forum over 4 countries . Just doing our bit to make the world a little bit smaller. I can gasbag all day and all night

The last few days of work have been extremely rough. I have been dealing with a relatively newly hired employee who is absolutely unable to comprehend the job, and what she does understand she seems to have problems getting done. It's been like pulling teeth. And then I saw a mouse in my apartment last night which freaked me out. And then, of course, today is pay day and our direct deposit glitched and we haven't been paid. I had set up some bills to be paid today and now I don't have money in my account. All we are being told is that our pay should be in the bank at some point today, but it is almost 4 pm and I still haven't been paid.
But at least the pest control guy came today and took care of the mouse. Poor little guy.

Oh it was awesome, as you saw I literally have that whole massive basement with the broken pool table to myself - perfect timing with my work mate coming down randomly. I told him about your Who Convention duties - spending the weekend behind the scenes and with an audience with Who actors- he was Very impressed. I told him you are kind of a big deal and people know you HAHA

So it was only the one? Usually there is more than 1 - if so , got in quick which is good

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

My dad had two mild strokes over the course of about 5 days last weekend. I flew home as soon as I heard about the second one: I wanted toco e over after the first one but was told he was making a reasonable recovery and not to worry.. He’s finally made a reasonable recovery and has been judged as well enough to come home as of tomorrow which is fabulous news. Now that the worst is over I feel okay discussing it.

FInally found the new Terrys' Chocolate Mint-instead-of-Orange in Iceland. Yum.
Incidentally, does anybody own a wind-proof umbrella? Just go mine. Haven't had a chance to try out the windproofing, *but*.... it extends and opens on a spring-loaded trigger! This could be lethal! I know there's a martial art designed for walking sticks and full-size umbrellas (Bartitsu, misremembered as Sherlock Holmes's Baritsu) but this seems a little ridiculous.

Made Day. Brought a load of Charles Bronson movies on blu ray.
Not Made My Day. Not feeling great after heatstroke like zapped my energy, still battling depression which I can't seem catch a break from.

Because "Australia". We are 24 days into the season of Spring. A couple hours ago we saw a big fat juicy ripe red back spider (Aussie version of The Black Widow, their bites Will and Can kill you) by our front screen door. We have trained our boy at a very early age, if he see's Any type of spider to call out for us.. We disposed of this one immediately - not worth the risk. Back from my amazing Scuba Diving holiday on the Italian island of Elba. Man, that was awesome. The weather was good (apart from the storm on Friday, but for that, we just drive with all the diving gear to the other side of the island to go diving there). Great diving with lots of fish (big groupers and swarms of barracudas!), amazing Italian food (yummy sea food and mussels!) and a lovely beach to chill out on and read some books. Drive home was also great, on one trip, I saw 5 countries, Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria and Germany. Drive over the Alps (San Bernardino pass) was also great for amazing views- high mountains, deep gorges, waterfalls and fresh snow. It was a really great week. I do however have some pain in my ears (probably went down under water too fast) but it is controllable with my ear drops which I bought in preparation. Now I have to clean and wash all my dive equipment, which will be the job for today.
