I don’t know what’s going on... Last night I was tired and went to bed an hour earlier than usual. Slept through and was still dead to the world when my alarm went off. Been up now for 2+ hours (including a shower, 30 minute drive, and a coffee) and I still feel like I’ve been run over by a truck. Sounds to me like your a bit burnt out, your body tired maybe its time slow down a little.

Sounds to me like your a bit burnt out, your body tired maybe its time slow down a little. Agreed.
I am now asking questions which you have to answer FOR YOURSELF, please do not post your medical history online. Sorry, I work in the medical profession (well, veterinary, but we all are mammals), so bear with me.
Have you done anything physically or psychologically taxing in the past weeks? Did you take any new drugs/ meds or changed the dosage? Have you been drinking alcohol heavily?
Were there any big life changes?
I had the dubious pleasure of a nervous breakdown (caused by a borderline psychotic boss and workplace) followed by years of depression, and the sad thing about these things is- they do not come with a manual. You slip deeper and deeper into a hole and you first do not know what is going on and you feel like you are going crazy. Which makes everything worse.
Downward spiral.
In the end, the most easy and mundane tasks in your life will feel like climbing Mount Everest. And you will be exhausted by switching off your alarm clock.
You do not want to go there. You want to stop before your are in the pit.
If you want advice and help in that respect- you can always pm me. But I would also strongly recommend seeing a professional.
I also do not know how and what you are eating- you could also have a deficiency of some vitamin or mineral.
If you are vegetarian, have your iron and vitamin B12 levels checked out. If you did not get enough sunlight and outside time, you might have a lack of vitamin D.
If you are living far from the sea and do not eat a lot of fish and seafood, have your iodine and thyroid levels checked out. If you are a sexually active man, have your zinc levels checked. Have you taken antibiotics recently? If yes, do something to build up your microbiome again. Damage to the gut microbes can indeed cause depressive episodes!
Are you from the States? Have you been bitten by ticks in the past 6 months? Then I certainly would have myself checked for Lyme disease- I have a friend who has now Lyme chronically because it was diagnosed way too late and then there is not much to be done about it anymore. If you are from Europe (and I count the British Isles, too, because they are on the continental shelf, like it or not), there is also Lyme disease, however caused by different species. Still, worth checking out if you are like me attracting ticks like crazy. And no, the travelling red patches are an early symptom, yes, but it does not show in every case- I once had early stage Lyme but got it luckily in the early swollen joint phase and was treated fast (my doctor knew I was a tick magnet) and so I had no long term problems.
It could be a million different things.
I would recommend- take a break, and then see a doctor to have the blood levels for different things checked out. It is always better to be save than to be sorry. This advice comes from someone who has been sorry once too often.

In addition to the above, I had exactly the same thing a couple of weeks ago. Turns out I was oversleeping, probably due to the arrival of summer. We've 12 hours of pure daylight and 8 hours of night at the moment, which means that all the routine one goes through at dusk is a couple of hours late. Just a few, but somehow it knocked everything out of alignment (probably the added stress). I got back into a regular schedule, so I'm feeling a lot more energised, but that first day transitioning from one to the other was essentially a write-off. I'd also say take a break and be prepared for the body to still be hyped up for a day or so before it properly relaxes.
On a similar note, caught up with a friend who I hadn't seen for 12 months yesterday. Our meeting was initially heralded by a fire at the train station, but the rest of the day was rather low-key. From high drama to a quiet lull. We had lunch and a bit of a walk in the rain while emergency services dealt with the problem. She petered out towards the end of the day, fatigue catching up with her, and we just ended up chatting idly in a gallery. Her first opportunity to relax in ages apparently. All in all, despite the initial bout of bombast, I rather enjoyed it. We were able to pick up right where we left off. Hoping to do it more often. The visit, I mean, not The Visitation.

Right. Today is the last day of Carneval. This is a part-time holiday in parts of Germany. Yeah, indeed, there is a part of Germany where they are known to get wild, party hard and basically being Brazil's smaller brother. I am NOT from that part of Germany. People in my part fit the common cliche much better... Anyways, at work, we are having half-day off, I take the afternoon off to go to the children's birthday party of my niece. My boss is also giving away tonnes of German style carneval donuts (the ones with rose-hip jam) for free. There are a few people at work who will come in costume to work today, because they are from that other, fun part of the country. And there is me, who is, according to my parents "not exactly normal". I am dressing up in my 6th Doctor Cosplay. I am sooooo excited. I know that most people will not get it, but at least I will be colourful and will bring in some cheer into the grey mist of normal. Today, I will really find out how much people at my workplace will conform with the common cliches people have about Germans. There are indeed people who go into the basement to have a laugh (if at all). Maybe I am starting a trend and we will have a costume competition next year (there is a pumpkin cooking competition on Halloween already). At the very least I hope I will brighten up everybody's day a little. Wish me luck.

I dare you to enter the party quoting Longfellow's Excelsior from The Twin Dilemma:

Has anyone ever taken Tramadol (also known as Ultram in other countries) for extreme pain? My prescription says to take 1 every 4 hours.. OMG.. I get zoned out when I take 2 in the space of 15 hours.. I think I will stick to more than 2.. 1 hour before bed, and then at lunchtime..
I 100% do not trust myself to drive or operate machinery

I 100% do not trust myself to drive or operate machinery Tramadol is brilliant for pain relief. And yes, do not operate anything more complex than a spoon.

Costume i seen better fan film bat suits, Ben Affleck I'm sure could've created a better suit than this, thank god I'll always have the Nolan Trilogy & Burton movies.

I 100% do not trust myself to drive or operate machinery They are a very strong drug so be aware of side effects they do make you feel Ozzy like so definitely avoid driving or heavy machinery.
