My approach on this will be anything I don't like won't be marked and that means they have faults I can't overlook

Not sure how to approach this...
l’ve ended up selecting 20 titles, but looking back through I could easily select another 20 and possibly 10 more after that!
Perhaps it’s just nostalgia, but I think I love them all!

My first thought, Oh great. Another set of poll threads.. My second thought, ten minutes later, Man, that was tough..

I did my top ten, which wasn't as easy as you'd think.

The Sixth Doctor easily dominates this side of the Main Range for me. The Marian Conspiracy, The Holy Terror, Project Twilight, The One Doctor, Jubilee, Doctor Who and the Pirates, Davros - all classics of the highest calibre and arguably amongst the best stories Big Finish has ever put out. Of course, the Eighth Doctor has some equally amazing stories out of the first 50 Main Range releases - The Chimes of Midnight and Neverand being my personal two favorites - the Fifth Doctor has Spare Parts - which is the very story that got me into Big Finish! - and Creatures of Beauty - a release I really need to listen to again sometime again - and, finally, the Seventh Doctor himself has two really astounding stories, those being The Fires of Vulcan and Master, but it's really not until later releases that I think any of the other Doctors would acquire a catalog to even BEGIN to compare with the Sixth Doctor's.

I'll limit myself to 5 on each, any more is too sprawling and doesn't curate enough.
Holy Terror - Untill The Doctor Falls my all time favourite DW story in any medium. And The Pirates - Also in my top 5 of any medium - funny, heartbreaking and stunningly fresh. The MR would never do this now. Neverland - A wonderful setup...it's not its fault if the resolution is awful. ...Ish - The perfect blend of Doctor and story, it feels like only Colin could do this one Davros - Mostly for the lovely mundanity of Davros and THe Doctor getting a 9-5 job together.

An amazing run of stories and, as other posters have pointed out, it was really difficult not to tick every story (bar one or two 'infamous' titles I suppose).
Definitely think this was one of the most creative and inventive periods of BF and it is clear how much of the early stories were used by Russell T Davies in the reboot of Doctor Who. Some stories ended up being wholesale adaptations (Spare Parts the most obvious), while elements of others ended up in other stories - Torchwood and the Forge spring to mind.
Baker is the real stand out star here. His Doctor gets the reboot and treatment that he deserved. One of the real surprises from the early days of BF is that the Sixth Doctor would be the one with the strongest stories - amazing to think that when people recall how divisive his character/portrayal of the Doctor was during the 1980s.
