I'm very sorry to hear this. I can't say I knew him well, but I always respected him as a poster and a moderator and will miss him. My condolences to his friends and family and those here who knew him better than I did. The boards won't be the same without him.

Hello again.
I cannot say I knew him personally, but his contribution to this forum was immense. I enjoyed his posts and send my best wishes to his family and friends at this difficult time.

I've remained quiet and just read these threads. I've been so touched by everyones reactions.
Like you... I didn't know him in "real life" but through the forum I met him... he was a fare an witty person. And in my book they are two superb qualities.
The forum was stronger for having him as part of it and it will be poorer without his presence.
When I made this place it was to bring us together and when I see the comments and thoughts you have all put I am very proud of this place and of all of you.
Jason...
I lift my floppy hat and scarf to you.

Just a bump to remember Jason's anniversary.
I think he would have loved where the series is going this year.

A year ago, I wrote this: Even in the worst excesses of his illness, he was always striving to do what was best for the community. He never complained, never howled, he bore every terrible thing with dignity. He never succumbed to fear. Jason Ward will be treasured, celebrated and missed. Today, I learnt that I now have a niece. In a family of boys, she's the first girl, something her parents have wanted for some time. I've no certain view on the universe one way or the other, but maybe, just maybe, Jason gave a little nudge from on high. If so, thank you Jason. We're all still here, still a community and still going strong.

The other night for some unknown reason I opened this thread and re-read all of these lovely, heartfelt messages and cried a little. I kept wondering what possessed me to do that now. I must have subconsciously remembered that it was a year since Jason passed. And now you've posted here @wolfie53, the first post in a long while. I wasn't the only one thinking of him.

Oh, I can't take credit, it was bohnny who started the trend. I felt it too, though. That, how to describe it... clutch in the chest. Elka, I honestly think he would've been very proud that the forum's still going. I truly mean that. The fact that this whole thing is still here -- through thick and thin -- is a living, breathing tribute in and of itself. He succeeded.

A year passes so quickly.
I still think of Jason when I go the brexit outcome thread and wonder what he would have made of the last year's developments. His take on it would, as always, have been worth reading.

I accidentally clicked on the first post of a thread Jason started and it made me sad all over again. Two years since his passing.

I think he'd have loved Return of the Cybermen. Just the possibility of his favourite Doctor going up against his favourite adversary in a classic story retold. Funny this came up, I saw the cover on the site and thought of him. Strange that it's only been two years.

I read posts of his every once in a while and I find reading them incredibly bittersweet. As sad as I am that he is gone, it is lovely to have his posts here to remember him by.
