Anyone had any luck with old app this morning? Heard some stories about logging out and in again fixing it. Nope- still blank..
Still have 967 in the frustrating order out of 1,088..
SORT BY "RANGE" Big Finish.. RANGE! Not Order Date or Release Date!

Can they roll back to the old motto as well? “We love stories” is warm and inclusive, “for the love of stories” sounds like the sort of “for the love of god!” complaint a comedy Irishman would use. Yes! Agree 100%

Newsletter had space to include an ad for the app, but not any warning that it currently doesn’t work properly.

Weirdly, the new app they’ve told us not to use is still working. Deathworld has appeared on it and appears to be downloable. It’s just still missing a load of releases.

I have rolled back from the old app to the new app and it works for me, so at least I can listen to something again.

Deathworld, which I bought on the reinstated old website, on Friday, has just appeared in my old big finish App.
I never logged out of the old App, and it’s just been added to the list of stories, just now.
In case that helps anyone.

I kept the old app, with as many downloads in it as my phone’s free space could take, to keep me going for a short while until I get myself a device that the new app will work on.
The old app was never that quick to pull down an up-to-date list of available titles, becoming slower as my download list grew. I assume a refresh is grabbing a user’s full list each time, rather than just the changes since the last refresh.
I tended to only do a refresh when what I wanted to listen to wasn’t yet in my app’s list.
I hadn’t actually refreshed it for a while so my app is still showing me what I had as at around March of this year.
If I try to refresh the list now, it just spins away for ages without bringing in any update. I can still download anything that is showing in my list.
So, though I’m not able to use it for anything recently bought/released, I can continue to choose my next download(s) from almost all my available titles… until they next try their site revamp and the old app gets re-retired.

Still zero purchases in my app.
Have tried logging out, uninstalling then reinstalling but no joy.
A further update from Big Finish on the “extensive libraries” problem would be good.

To anyone who ordered Torchwood End Game and prefers to listen via the app, it just became available to download - in the new app!
The old app we were told to revert to still shows zero purchases for me.
Come on, Big Finish, throw us a bone here!

It’s getting beyond a joke now TBH. happy to be a bit understanding (although increasingly less so), but this is bordering on the ridiculous. coupled with the poor (aka non-existent) communications, it’s making me very ill disposed towards BF. I don’t think they’ll be getting any of my money for a bit.

As miffed as I am with the whole shebang I decided to do the opposite and pre-order the Trials of how Awesome Sixie is (or whatever it’s called) and the WarDoc versus Morbius story just to show my continued patronage is not reliant on current functionality.

These are my feelings too.
I love Big Finish and have done ever since I picked up the brilliant Dark Eyes (and grabbed the ace Sixie/Jago & Litefoot Voyages too, as they were on pre-order offer for £1 each as download - great days!) Since then I've racked up over 1000 purchases and have loved a huge amount of them.
But it's been weeks now and I am still missing purchases. The new app (which we were told not to use) is *almost* up-to-date with my library now, missing "only" a few dozen. But the old app we were told to revert to using shows nothing at all for me. And then Torchwood End Game pops up for download in my new app! Glad I didn't delete that new app, as I'd have no app access at all.
They have said the customers with extensive libraries and their lack of access is being dealt with as a top priority, and yet News, Sales and New Releases are still being rolled out while we don't have access. It feels like the right things are being said, but the actual results are very much lacking. Even a social media post saying it's still being handled would be something.
Morbius the Mighty will undoubtedly be terrific and I would have snapped that up along with some other exciting-looking releases to get the multiple-item discount, but I regret I can't bring myself to buy any of the new releases until I know what the situation is with access via the app.

Just found today there's an app page on the Big Finish website (the old one we've reverted to). And the page was updated today, 21 August 2024. Though notably doesn't mention the large libraries issue affecting many people ... www.bigfinish.com/pages/v/bf-appI am so grateful I kept my old app on my iPad, and didn't logout. Sympathies to those badly affected.
