An unassuming man with a great talent for the absurd and for explaining history. I loved his work particularly with Michael Palin on Ripping Yarns. His direction particularly of Life of Brian really brings out the comedy and the absurdity of the situation. His best line still has to be, "He's not the Messiah. He's just a very naughty boy."
Comedy lost a wonderful talented human being today😰 I have many fond memories of watching him and the rest of the Pythons (he is not the messiah, he’s a very naughty boy!)as well as my other favorite work of his Mr Toad’s Wild Ride where he gave a very memorable performance as the toad himself😊
I hope all the remaining Pythons give heartfelt speeches at his funeral and that someone does a lovely tribute to his legacy ( perhaps a documentary)
Wherever you are up there in comedy heaven Terry, I bet you and Graham are having a brilliant time getting caught up are already writing new hilarious sketches ❤️😢
